I take Citrical calcium supplements slow release with vitamin D3. It is 1200mg and you only have to take it once a day in the morning with food. And it is sugar free.

Citracal Slow Release Calcium Supplement is made by Bayer, which is a brand that I trust. This product contains 1200 mg. of Calcium and 25 Mcg. (1000 IU) of Vitamin D3 - my doctor advised me that it was time for a product like this. Easy to take, 2 tablets with a full glass of water in the morning.

I was diagnosed with early onset osteoporosis and was recommended by my doctor to take 1000 iu vitamin D and 1200 mg calcium, which is exactly what these vitamins contain along with 80 mg magnesium & 5mg sodium. I’ve has gastric bypass surgery years ago so the extended release formula is perfect for me and my absorption issues. I love that it’s 2 coated caplets daily. I have no stomach issues from taking these and time will tell if it stops my dropping none density. Fingers crossed. They are definitely reasonably priced and it’s perfect getting all my recommended vitamins in one product. I would definitely recommend. My only regret is not finding snd starting this product sooner.

My doctor suggested Citrical because I am a woman over 50. I bought the huge bottle for about $20 bucks. It comes in tablet form and they are huge! Hopefully this will keep my bones nice and strong!

I received Citracal calcium supplement slow release 1200 to try. I really like that there is 1200 mg of calcium plus the added benefit of 1000 IU of vitamin D3. I take two of the caplets in the morning, they are easy to swallow and I have no issue throughout the day from having taken them. I would definitely recommend these as a supplement for anyone needing calcium + D3.

I was so excited to get these since I know I need all the extra calcium I can get. Unfortunately once I looked at the size of the pills I knew it wasn’t going to be good. WHY do companies make their pills so large? I mean I know they wouldn’t bother some people, but not everyone can swallow these horse pills.

I was so surprised at the size when I opened the bottle, however it didn’t stop me from taking it. It was perfect timing as I was looking for a calcium supplement with vitamin d. So far it’s been easy to take and will continue taking these pills to get a better assessment.

I now have to take calcium every day and receiving a complimentary bottle of Citracal Slow Release in a VoxBox was a great way to try the product. With my usual calcium supplement, I have to take 4 pills daily; with Citracal Slow Release, I only needed to take 2 pills daily. I like the idea of a slow release formulation. My only “problem” with it is that the Slow Release formulation is a combination of calcium citrate AND calcium carbonate. My doctor tells me that I have to take a calcium citrate formulation only. If it weren’t for that, I would definitely use this product. No worries though-I take another Citracal product.

I am a religious vitamin and minerals fiend. I was prescribed to vitamin D through my primary care physician, but can purchase the exact product OTC, which is the route I’ve been going the past few years. In the short time I’ve been using the Citracal Slow Release tabs, I have been impressed. They do not upset my stomach at all and are easily disgusted. My only gripe is that the tablet itself is a bit large.

I’ll be honest, I really didn’t notice any difference before and after taking this product. I take other supplements that contain all of the vitamins and minerals I need already so that could be the reason. I also probably just wouldn’t notice if calcium is doing anything for me, I guess, when you consider it helps with bone health. Unless I had a fracture or break that needed to heal I probably wouldn’t notice any differences using this supplement.
