I was disappointed in this set and other ciate sets like it. I feel like they do nail varnish so well but when they branch off into sequins, chalk, flowers etc it doesn’t have the same effect.

I’m surprised at the low rating this product has received. I love this kit!!! Because I know from previous experience that glitter nail polish chips easily, I applied this product using my own method from the first time I used it. I have the [product:sally-hansen-salon-gel-polish-nail-color-starter-kit], which I absolutely love. I apply the gel base coat and either a gel pink or red nail polish. I then apply a coat of the glitter base that comes with the Ciate kit. I apply the glitter as directed. I then apply the top layer of the glitter kit polish and let it dry. Once it is dry, I apply two layers of the Sally Hansen gel top coat. This process does not take too long and it ensures the glitter polish lasts for days. I also fix chips by reapplying the glitter base and glitter, then applying a layer of the gel top coat. By patching the chips, I can get 7-10 days of wear out of one full application. When I wear this glitter nail polish, I get a lot of compliments and questions. It looks stunning and is perfect for the holidays and other special events. I highly recommend this nail kit. I especially recommend using the gel nail polish in conjunction with the glitter to maximize wear time. I never applied this glitter kit without the gel light because I knew it would not last long. My method has made this a beautiful nail look that lasts.

I wanted to love this so much because it is so beautiful but actually getting the sequins to stay on is a job in on itself, to say the least. I have to be honest when I use a thicker nail polish the sequins stick on much better. They also last more than 10 minutes when I apply a thick top coat of nail polish to the sequins. However, all of this is not the point and I shouldn't have to do anything else besides what is in this kit, as I am going to call it. I feel like this whole thing is nothing but something to do to make your nails look awesome for instagram pictures for like half a minute because that's how long this stuff stays on. The only reason I am even giving it two stars is the sequins are pretty and when I use another polish and take my time to get everything perfect then I can usually get it to last about a day or so. Otherwise, this stuff is total trash and not worth the money.
