Chromecast or Roku for a Christmas gift?

The big difference between the two is having all the Apps on the Streaming device (Roku) or using your phone or tablet as the place to host apps and then CAST them to the TV (ChromeCast). If you have a phone and like interacting with your TV that way the Chromecast is a great pick.

Honestly, I'm a big fan of Roku. Just seems to work better overall!

I agree you Don't have to worry about losing a remote with chromecast either!

I'm not sure what you chose, but I have both and love both. I guess it would depend what the user goal is. Just movies? Roku. YouTube, business use, photo gallery...and movies? Chromecast.
