I generally wear this over sunscreen, no primer, and I get the intended pore-smoothing look. Owing to previous experiences of nothing doing anything to my pores, that wasn't why I bought this, but I was surprised to see that the product settled in seamlessly. It's blending-friendly once applied. I've noticed some shenanigans when this is used with some kinds of mattifying primers, so I've adjusted and apply powder afterwards to undo some of the dewiness. The product's stayed in place nicely as the weather's gotten hotter and I've subjected it to plenty of sweat, but as mentioned, you'll need to control oil and shine on your own.
