I have been using this iron for a year now and I think it's pretty great! It heats up super fast (less than a minute) and distributes the heat along my hair very evenly. I have naturally curly, frizzy hair and just one pass of this iron is enough to give me super sleek hair. I love that the shape is perfect for curling too, and the casing feels sturdy.

The only downside I've experienced is that lately my hair has been getting caught and pulled between the plate and casing. I don't know if this is a design flaw or just wear and tear from using so often (I use this every other day), but it has gotten to the point where I may be looking for another iron. I never had issues with this one in the beginning, so I may try another CHI and see how that goes.

This is the one that started it all. But it is just your basic flat iron. The technology hasn’t advanced so it’s not the best one on the market but it still gets the job done beautifully. This is a great flat iron for virgin hair and hair that just needs a little straightening. I wouldn’t suggest this one for anyone who has color treated, damaged, dry, or super thick and curly hair. There is no temperature control which is key if you have any of the above hair types. If you’re new to the straightening game or you have pretty straight hair and just need it for a few places then this is great. Otherwise invest in a better one like the Brazilian Blowout Flat Iron... that one is the best one I’ve ever used.

I got this straightener for Christmas a year ago after I wore out my old straightener. I was hesitant to use it at first because the sides of it weren't wide which meant i'd have to put in smaller amounts of hair into the straightener. It straightens my hair well! My hair has a bad tendency of curling up at the ends but the heat from this straightener keeps my hair pin straight for the whole day! To me, it's just like any other straightener you can find, there's nothing too special or unique about it. I don't know the price of it exactly since I got it for a gift, but I can imagine that it would be somewhere from $50-80 for the brand. It's a good straightener, I wouldn't not recommend it!

I swear by the chi flat irons. My first chi flat iron broke and I didn’t have the money to immediately replace it. I bought a cheaper brand and spent $25 and hated that I wasted my money. The off brand didn’t completely straightening my hair. I felt like it fried my hair as well. Not to mention, within minutes of going outside my hair would frizz up. I finally broke down and bought another chi. For the price and availability in stores, this is one of the best straighteners. It has different temperature settings for different hair types. It has ceramic plates that leave your hair feeling silky smooth and not immediately damaged or dry. Overall, this product is a great value for the money.

A CHI was my very first high end hair iron.  My first one lasted three years, used my warranty, and then it lasted another two years. You really can't beat that value!  The second CHI I bought is still working after four years.  I use it almost every day.
I have thick, wavy hair.  I separate my hair into 2-3 sections to get the smoothest look.  It doesn't pull or tug at my hair.  I would recommend using a heat protectant spray with this iron because it gets extremely hot.  I mainly use this to get a straight and sleek look, but it can also be used to get a wavy, beachy curl.  I love this iron!

I recommend this product to everyone who straightens their hair!
The one feature that won me over would be the temperature changing quality it has for different sections of your hair.
The heat up time for the straightener is super fast and also super fast when straightening your hair.
I would use a heat protectant on your hair.
Price is good for the quality of the product! I will buy this product again!

This is a very nice hair straightener. It has a simple, sleek look to it and is all black with gold plates on it. It gets very hot so straightening my hair is a breeze using this. It does have a few heat settings that can be turned up or down as not everyone needs the highest heat because it can be damaging to the hair. It is a bit expensive but not as expensive as a lot are and in my opinion you are paying for the quality of the product. Overall I think it’s a great flat iron and holds up so it can be used for a longtime without having to be replaced!

I bought my original black chi back in 2008. It is still going strong almost 10 years later. I use it about 3 times a week because I have curly hair and I prefer it straight. This is honestly the only flat iron I’ve used that straightens my hair as well as keeps the frizz down. I’ve tried the newer colored chi at my friends house and I’ve found that the colored casing got hot compared to my original black one. Hopefully mine continues to go strong but if I had to buy a new one I would in a heartbeat!!!

Hands down the best straightener I have ever used. I use it to straighten, curl, and add body to my hair. I got my black one at a hair salon, and my contour fushia one af Walmart salon. I also have the one where you can change the temperature on it. It’s all ceramic which is better for your hair. I recommend to anyone and everyone. Just one of my favorite straighteners ever. You can get them from $50-100 depending where you buy from. But you can buy them from hair salons, beauty shops, and online.

I’m sure there are more prestigious brands of hair straighteners out there, but for budget friendly purposes this straightener has never let me down! Also, this baby heats up super fast. The only thing I can say is that it does pull sometimes, but that could be user error when I am rushing! Would still recommend though!
