Chef's Choice Premium 610 Electric Food Slicer
Top Questions No one has asked a question yet! Be the first!
I did loads of research for electric food slicers, since I was going to start making my own bacon at home. I narrowed the choices to the 610 and the 615, because they were both affordable and had the features I wanted. The one difference between the two was the motor. The 610 was a bit larger and heavier at 12 pounds while the 615 weighs in at just 10 pounds. Both models have the same 7" serrated blade that will slice through anything you wish, and both can be adjusted to slice any thickness desired. Most everything can easily be detached for cleaning. A nice touch on both models is that you can simply push the long electric cord into the body of the slicer for hidden storage. Nice touch.
The main reason for choosing the 615 over the 610 is the motor creates a higher level of torque, which helps slice through meats much smoother, while remaining cool to the touch, and it actually quite quiet while doing so.
I look forward to using my new Chef's Choice 615 Electric Food Slicer for many years to come.
