I was very excited to receive this product because I have never tried reusable period products, but have recently become interested. When I was younger, the thought of a reusable period product sort of grossed me out to be honest because I thought the maintenance and cleaning would be a lot, but these have taught me that I should be open minded to things before judging! I received these shortly before Earth Day and it was timed perfectly so that I was able to test these out for two of my cycles. The package comes with 3 reusable soft and stylish panty liners and a cute, matching, discreet carrying/storage bag for them. The design that I received my panty liners in was Peony Blossom, which is a colorful array of flowers and their leaves. A cute design for sure! They come buttoned up into a cute little square, secured fit with snap buttons. I will say that to me personally, they look a bit big for a panty liner, and I was able to use them as a regular pad for the most part. However, those with a heavier flow (which is probably most people) may not feel the same and Charlie Banana has a lot more options for sizes and different designs. Using these were a pleasantly surprising experience! I think I will make them a part of my personal care routine. not only will it be more affordable in the long run, but they were very comfortable to wear - especially at night. The snap buttons for the wing area kept the panty liner in place at all times. It also felt great knowing I was contributing to producing less waste, which is important to me. The directions reccommend that you wash all products before first use, so I did. Handwashing or soaking after use and before washing in your washing machine is also advised. Fabric softener or bleach is not recommended. Then you can either tumble dry on low or hang dry. I've had success with both and experienced no shrinkage with the product. I was worried about stains, but to my surprise, these are still a brilliant white after using them throughout two cycles. Overall, I am very impressed and I would reccommned to anyone who is looking for something more eco-friendly, long term cost effective, or sustainable.
