This was my first time using reusable pads and I was really excited because I’ve been wanting to try them for awhile. I got the 4 pack combo with 1 liner, 1 regular, 1 super, and 1 super plus pad. I was surprised at how incredibly soft they were. A lot of pads really irritate my skin but these did not. They stayed on well and were surprisingly comfortable. I was a little concerned about how well they would wash since they are white but I just threw them in the washer right away and they held up well. My only concern is that over time the white will show stains. It would be nice if they offered them in darker colors that would cover potential stains. I received the print diva ballerina and they are so cute! The reason I haven’t tried reusable pads sooner is because of the cost but when I went to the Charlie Banana website to see about purchasing more in the future I was pleasantly surprised by the price. They are much more affordable than other brands on the market and I will definitely be purchasing more in the future! I know some people are turned off by reusable pads but I actually really enjoyed them. I love that they are environmentally friendly compared to the typical pads. I hate how wasteful one time use pads are. I wish I would have tried them sooner but thanks to Influenster and Charlie Banana I’ve finally made the switch!

I haven’t tired this yet but I feel like it will work great. The material is thick and soft so I don’t think it will irritate my skin. So excited to try it out.

As of January 2021, I have been converting to reusable menstrual products, and as of March 2021, I have been 100% reusable, so I was stoked to get this pad set to review! This set of 4 reusable pads would be fantastic for anyone interested in trying out reusables. The set comes with four absorbency options (light, regular, super, and super plus). Because I combo using pads with my menstrual cup, I don't tend to need a regular absorbency option, however, I used the three heavier absorbency options for overnight protection, and the liner for day use.
Some of my favorite things about these pads are that they are lined with a waterproof layer to help keep from bleeding through, and that the set came with a matching wet bag to keep them in while you wait for wash day! Notably, there were three things I didn't like about the product. Firstly, I found the prints slightly immature, however, this is a product that you are literally meant to bleed on, so aesthetics aren't everything. Second, the pads felt significantly thicker than those that I'm used to using, which is not necessarily bad, because this typically means more absorbency! Just be mindful about tight fitting clothes if you're using these (makes a great opportunity to wear that new sundress!). Third, the white topper is not necessarily beginner friendly. White is notoriously bad for staining, and one of the hardest hurdles to get over with reusable menstrual products is cleaning out the blood/staining. If these were my first reusable pads, I would feel very discouraged trying to get the stains out.
All in all, I would say these would be great for building up your pad stash, and I would definitely recommend giving them a try!
Tips for new users: I have found great success using a sports cleaner to lift stains if you use the cleaner shortly after you're done using the pad if your usual method isn't seeming to work. After I treat the stains, I keep the pads in a dedicated wet bag until wash day. I usually wash gentle cycle and dry on low-medium heat or line dry in the sun. Drying in the sun can assist in late process stain removal!
