I bought the Char-Broil Infrared 3 Burner Gas Grill a couple of years ago, and while it worked great initially, I’m pretty disappointed with how it’s held up over time. When I first got it, I was impressed by how evenly it cooked and how easy it was to control the heat. The infrared system really does a good job of reducing flare-ups, and the burgers and steaks I cooked on it always turned out fantastic. Assembly was straightforward, and it looked great on my patio. Unfortunately, the honeymoon didn’t last long. After about a year, I started noticing rust forming on the grates and even on the burners themselves, despite keeping it covered when not in use. Now, two years later, the rust has spread to the point where parts of the grill are literally falling apart especially the bottom of the grill. It’s frustrating because I made an effort to maintain it properly, and I expected better durability for the price. It’s a shame because the grill performs well when it’s in good condition, but the poor build quality makes it hard to recommend. If you live in a humid area or anywhere prone to rust issues, I’d advise looking for a grill with more durable materials. I gave it three stars because the cooking performance was excellent while it lasted, but the rusting problem is a serious letdown.

We have had this grill for about two years. It’s our third char broil grill and we are very happy with it. My only complaint would be that the prices that go under the grates start to rust and fall apart after a few years and they are super expensive to replace. That being said, we are still happy with the overall performance of the grill.
