I’ve been using the CeraVe Acne Foaming Cream Cleanser and really like how thoroughly it cleans my skin without making it feel overly stripped. The creamy formula turns in to a genial foam and rinses off easily. The benzoyl peroxide has help reduce breakouts and calm some of the redness around my acne, although it can feel slightly drying if I use it too often. I recommend starting once a day or every other day and following with a good moisturizer. It’s fragrance-free, affordable, and a little goes a long way, so I think it’s a great option of acne-prone skin.
I have both this Cerave Acne Cream Cleanser and the other popular benzoyl peroxide cleanser in my shower to cycle between and I really love this for a few reasons like I love the thick and creamy texture of this face cleanser. I prefer the 10% formula because I my skin can tolerate the higher formulation and I find that it does work really well at keeping my acne at bay because benzoyl peroxide is antibacterial and I find that my acne can flare up when my dogs give me a little extra attention (it’s impossible to tell them no??). This works really well, I love letting it sit on my skin for a minute or two in the shower, and it easily rinses clean without burning my eyes. The packaging is sleek and slim which I appreciate and the pricing is perfect. I also love the additional ingredients like ceramides in the formula which helps replenish my skin instead of irritating or drying my skin out.
When I’m breaking out I use this face wash and it doesn’t dry out my whole face but it dries out the pimples I have that I’m trying to get rid of, I highly recommend it but using it everyday might dry out your skin
