Billing problems. I will never recommend another friend to get CenturyLink. I make payment through bill pay from my bank. Every month 1st of the month $55.00 The month I recommended CenturyLink to a friend I got $50.00 But I have auto bill pay and kept paying the same amount every month. A couple months after the $50. apparently, they showed me $5. short because when they gave me the $50 it left a $5. When paying the next bill $55. it was 1 day late, unknown why since it is paid the same time each month. So I had to pay the $5. and $9. for being late. Unknown where the $50. for referral has gone most likely in someone's pocket. I talked to two customer service reps. one being a supervisor. Long story short he could not tell me about the $50. and would do nothing to rectify the problem. I will never recommend CenturyLink to anyone ever again and go as far as to discourage someone from CenturyLink.
CenturyLink is by far the worst internet company I've ever had to deal with! I have to call multiple times just to get things fixed or a answer and I've spent time on the phone from 8am-6pm to get a issue resolved with our wifi, the people we get on the phone with are very rude and hang up on you when asking for a supervisor or when you state politely you've dont called previously and the issue wasnt handled or fixed. I absolutely wouldn't recommend them to anyone, and for sure wouldn't use their services anymore if we had other providers for our area.
Century link is by far the worst wireless service I have ever had. After being overcharged and just straight up lied to on several occasions, I decided to discontinue my service. The customer service is an absolute joke between the constant transferring, being hung up on, and the 45+ minutes hold times (yes, I said 45). If you need any assistance you’re going to spend all day trying to get it. Normally when I write a review I’m raving about a product that I love, I wish this would have been the case. I really do NOT recommend going with this service.
Stay clear of these criminals. I shut off my service (which was a HUGE pain in itself), paid my final bill, and due to a mistake on their representative's part, they charged me for another month of service that I didn't even use. I called to have this mistake removed from my closed account 3 different times, where they said it would be removed, and to let it go through a few payment cycles. The last straw was receiving a notice that they were sending the balance to collections if I didn't pay. Please stop giving your business to this company, they need to be shut down ASAP.
So normally I do a review because I am in awe of a great product but this is going to be on the other side of that scale. We have the slowest service in the middle of town with our CenturyLink. We have the highest possible plan and we can not be on the xbox and phone at the same time. Currently trying to find a different service provider in our area.
CenturyLink is one of my least favorite ISPs. I Struggled with them for about 5 years before it just wasn't worth the money I was paying to deal with their blatant lying, overcharging, signing me up for services I didn't ask for, and the multitudes of other issues I had with them. Their customer service is a joke. If you aren't ordering new stuff it's nearly impossible to get a person on the phone. Once you have a person you'll have to get through them transferring you over and over, having to repeat all your info and the problem each time. Sometimes they just straight up hang up on you for no apparent reason and you have to go through the whole thing again. The only positive thing I can say is I almost never had an outage, maybe only one time. I had to contact the FCC to settle a dispute with them on more than one occasion. This is not a good company. If you have ANY alternative I recommend taking it.
I have CenturyLink for my internet provider and I'm really happy with them and what I pay! Definitely keep up with your contract because when it expires your bill will go up, other than that CenturyLink is extremely affordable! I can call a number when it is not working and having issues and all I have to do is get to the repair menu and put in my account number and it tells me if my router is having issues or if they are doing maintenance, which they do late at night once in a while.
Honestly has been one of the worst experiences with a company I have ever had. Only keeping the subscription because it was cheap and short. When we signed up for the service we were told we would get 40mbps for $35 a month... The day before they were to come and set up our service we get a call saying we can only have 3mbps for $45 a month and then hung up. We were furious, bot at the sudden change in our plan, but at how the centurylink employee handled the situation. We called back and were able to get it 'fixed' getting 10mbps for $30 a month and then the next day we got to use our new internet after getting a call that is was set up and turned out that they set it up to the wrong apartment... So tha took ANOTHER day to get that set up and they finally got it right.... Then we get the bill and it was $380!!!!!! They charged us for an early termination fee when they disconnected the internet from the WRONG aparment that they had set it to. From there on we had problems with our bill every month for 5 months until we FINALLY got a competent employee who was able to put through all of our promotions and coupons so that they wouldn't come off of our account every month. We did get everything settled and figured out, but that was not on their part. We had to call back and be on the phone with them for hours every month until they finally fixed everything. Not an experience I want to go through or want anyone else to go through... If you are in the Florida/Orlando area Centurylink is NOT WORTH IT.
I have it and they are great on working with ur payments I love it couse they help u thru CHATTING that's what I love it is very affordable not expensive is up to u how much u wanna pay I don't have nothing bad to say they are great I would recommend to other I'll get credit too i love century Link try it
There are better internet services. I remember the internet was out for days twice in one year for several days. One when I was in school. The other when I was at home. Need a better speed to do things I gotta do. Please upgrade so that we don't have to switch services.
