This product has a lot of sugar. It's not bad once in awhile, but I would definitely try to find an all natural whey protein that you enjoy drinking. You will get more protein and more benefits from a whey protein than from Carnation Essentials.

This would be great as a meal or snack replacement. But don't forget exercise is essential also.

I'm sure you can! Maybe not a lot of it, but one cup a day shouldn't hurt you at all! It might give you more energy, and get you on a good workout!

IF you're looking for something similar to like a Special K protein shake or something, I'd say ya. For me, I love the flavor and my kids would drink it to pieces all the time. There is a lot of sugar in it, and of course the powdered protein and milk protein add to your protein factor.

YES! This is a great way to start your day with essential vitamins and nutrients without eating a ton of food first thing in the morning! Just use it to replace your breakfast, or in conjunction with something light, like a banana or oatmeal!

I find them to be a good breakfast substitute when on a diet. They are filling and taste really good. I never fill like I'm deprived or that I'm missing breakfast.

It's ok to have a little extra in the calorie department for breakfast, even when on a diet. There are a lot of nutritional benefits to the carnation powder alone. Personally, I always mix mine with water to cut down on the milk calories, but you can also add in other powdered supplements like whey or soy protein to amp it up a little and keep you fuller longer. You can also try using it as an additive for breakfast smoothies (I would recommend vanilla, banana, or strawberry powder for this) to boost the vitamins you wouldn't normally get from a fruit smoothie. You can also check out their sugar-free varieties, if you're worried about diet using this product while dieting as they are just as nutritious with about half the calories.
