Eh- this card nickel and dimes. It’s my oldest line of credit so I won’t shut it down but I rarely use it. I hate the $60 yearly fee that they’ll never wave as a courtesy even though I’ve been a member since 2007. This month actually I had a small balance which I paid in full a few weeks after I paid my minimum. I discover a week and a half later that they charged me interest on that balance even though it was paid off due to a daily apr. Customer service is American and very friendly though it seems like they can’t process much on their side they make up for it in friendliness and humor. I ended up paying the few dollars in interest and the cust service rep changed my grace period so I would not accrue daily apr on the few dollars of interest I was charged- how does that ever end? The only upside is they give you a monthly credit score update- but I can get that from my other credit cards minus all of the fees and sneaky interest. I despise this card- not a fan! Capital One

I have had my Capital One card since 2009 and opened it strictly because it did not charge a conversion rate for euros and I travel a bit. However, this card is used for EVERYTHING in my life from dollar menu items at McDonald’s to purchasing my vacations. Speaking of vacations, I have gone on 4 vacations with paying 100% of the hotel bill in credit card points. I’ve also cashed in nearly $700 in Lowe’s gift cards with my points to use towards my custom kitchen cabinets. Customer service is top notch and easy to get a hold of AND they text/email me of suspicious purchases and credits on my account.

If you’re looking for a basic credit card to help build your credit then this is the one for you. This was one of the first cards I applied for in my younger years and I don’t use it as frequently as I used to because I prefer my other cards for the benefits/airline rewards etc. but I’ve got to say the capital one app is one of the best I’ve ever used finance wise and their customer service is very good too (which is very important to me ); overall a great “starter” credit card; this is the only card I have from capital one

I have a Capital One Journey card that I got when I was in college as a way to start building my credit. The journey card has a cash back feature, which is great. The thing I hate most about Capital One cards is that the payment is due by 8 pm. All other credit cards that I have make the payment due by midnight on the due date. I have reminders set on my phone to alert me to pay it before 8 pm, but there have been a couple times (on the weekends) that I’ve made payments after 8 pm and been charged a late fee.

This is my first credit card and I’ve only had it for a few months but it’s been really useful. When I first applied I was denied until I worked for about 2-3 months. To start off this is a great credit card to have ; the credit limit is only $300 and you get rewards money from using the card and that money can be used towards your credit balance ,added into your bank account, a check, or gift cards

Customer service is usually pretty good. Sometimes the wait to talk to someone on the phone is a little long but I don’t think I’ve had to wait over 15-20 minutes. I have had issues with them in the past because they use Eastern Standard time and I am on Pacific. Because of this if I pay my bill on time, say 4:50pm because it’s due by 5pm that day then it’s actually late because it’s 7:50 THEIR time. They do not make exceptions or waive the around $35 late fee if you make this mistake!

Capital One is okay but what I dislike about them is when you try to pay off your credit card which I could amount how they don't take that amount immediately out your account. If they can take money out of your account for the smallest thing immediately I think when you're trying to pay the bill they should just go ahead and process that payment right then and there and take it out your account instead of having you see something false on your account saying that the money is gone.

I got 2 CapOne cards at a time when I needed to build my credit. They were easy to get and a helps with building credit. Average fees and not a lot of return as far as benefits. Standard credit card, but I would not suggest this particular card. Get something that pays you back for using it like a flyer points or better return on purchases. Making my way to paying them off then closing them. Capital One Secured MasterCard Credit Card Capital One

This credit card is pretty easy to get approved for, but had a massively high interest rate. If it’s the only one you can get approved for and are needing it to repair your credit I recommend only charging a very small amount, and pay off within a month or two just to show payments made on time and then repeat the process as you pay it off each time. The interest rate is usually between 20-30% so if you charge a large balance you will be paying on it for years.

Capital One is one of the most understanding and helpful credit card companies there are on the planet they have great customer service I've never had a bad customer service experience with them all of their applications for your Android phones or super super super easy to use basically and it's one of the most accepting credit cards in the United States so you can't go wrong with owning this card I am a proud card owner and I would never trade them in for the world
