OK, so this is the café due Monday beignet mix French donuts and I gotta say it is amazing. It's like pillowy soft donuts with powder sugar. It's great value on the freshness of these dolls is really good. It's a New Orleans thing get something to make it. I highly suggest them great breakfast grade all year around yummy

Ever since going to this cafe and eating the hot fresh Beignets my husband and I have been recreating them at home. They are not as perfect as the cafe obviously but the mix makes for pretty dang good treats.

These were so much fun to make! Very easy and quick! It says an electric skillet is preferred but I made them with a pan filled with an inch of oil, you don’t need a thermometer, just test it with a tiny bit of dough. The dough doesn’t need to be perfectly squared, I tried to shape them a bit like donuts with my fingers, or just like tiny flat balls. The dough needs to be sticky to turn out good, so it can be hard to get it off your hands, but not a problem! These were tasty! You can add jelly, caramel or fudge, if you like them sweeter, but I thought they were perfect with coffee.
