  • "this product is super cool and fun to work with. i purchased the color oil slick on amazon because it is sold out almost everywhere else. this color is stunnnnning. this shadow doesn't stay as much of a wet look as i would personally like it to but it is truly beautiful. the glitter can be very irritating so be careful when you use the product" in 21 reviews
  • "these are fun but aren’t exactly practical. they have a jelly- like consistency and don’t apply well over powder. they dry down completely but the glitter can transfer a bit." in 10 reviews

This is such an interesting product!  I'd read reviews that said the formula was jelly-like but I wasn't honestly expecting it to be as fluid as it is--you could honestly pour it out of the little pot.  I've never worked with a liquid(?) shadow quite like this before but it was easier than I thought it might be.  It's best applied using your finger but can be brushed out once on the lid.  The shadow is goreous--it has a shimmery/metallic finish--and it lasts a surprisingly long time without fading or flaking.  While I was initially somewhat skeptical about using this, I think it's a very unique eyeshadow and although it isn't a "typical" eye gloss, it's very pretty and I hope that Butter London comes out with more shades.

These are absolutely beautiful! I bought them on a whim when I saw ulta had them on sale for 12 bucks, I wouldn’t have spent 24 on them. I normally don’t wear glitter in my eyes or really anywhere but I hoped these might inspire me and they definitely did. The colors are beautiful to wear alone or with your favorite shadows. They have very little fallout for me and last well through my work day. I find if I use a glitter primer like the nyx one, I have little to no fallout! I’ve never used the stila glitter so I can’t compare but these I definitely recommend and they seem to go on sale often whether it be ulta, Kohl’s or the butter London site.

I’m super obsessed. I decided to swatch these at the store and I couldn’t believe how amazing each of these are. I quickly bought them & went home to apply them. I was speechless. Never again will I have a dull eye makeup look. These glazed eye shadows are amazing. They give it a pop!

Review for: Unicorn, Oil Slick more...
These are by far one of the coolest beauty products I’ve ever bought! When I swatched them in store, I knew I had to have some! I chose what I think are the most unique ones: Unicorn and Oil Slick. Unicorn is more sheer, but gives that cool trendy gloss effect I’ve seen on social media lately. Oil slick looks a lot darker in the pan, but is actually more light when on eyelids. (see photo) These work like any other eyeshadow, which means they require primer, and can be buildable as you wish. I also found that these last literally all day. These seem to be on sale recently, so grab them while they’re 50% off!

I love this product but there’s a learning curve with this. So in order to make it work l, it applies best with your finger. I tried with different flat brushes and it kept applying it patchy. When I applied it it’s my finger it went on very smoothly and super pigmented on the eye. Also take it from the jar itself, often there is leftover on the cap that comes with it but that product dries up a bit and it doesn’t apply the same. I love this product, it’s so beautiful and also once it dries, it won’t budge at all. So work quickly and also don’t layer it too much, one coat will do you just fine.

This is a gel eyeshadow that works good alone or as a shadow topper. Some of them have to be built up if you're using it alone. Once they dry it stays on all day without budging. Since it's a gel you have to make sure the lid is on tight when your not using it or it will dry out. If it's starting to get a little thick or dry you can mix in a little alcohol to refresh it. I haven't had any issue using & blending them into a powder shadow. You get a good bit of product and it does go far.

I seriously love this product! I never really thought to buy butter London’s eye products but these are great! The texture is kind of like a firm pudding. A little goes a long way and the pigment is insanely good. I love the colors and how it lets me achieve a sort of metallic effect. Really flattering and not too “glittery”. These will last a long time, just make sure you screw the cap on tightly.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this product it doesn’t matter if it dries out or still gives that creamy texture the product works either way!!!! I use this on a lot of my younger clients so that they have lots of sparkle, but it’s great for the older women too because it’s only one shadow for them to apply and so easy to do

Color is beautiful and highly pigmented. I love sparkles and glitter and gleam so this is the perfect product for anyone else like this out there. One major problem I had is after it sat for about a month it completely dried out and I had the top screwed on tight and everything. Apparently other people are having this issue as well with the product so if you do buy it make sure to use it up and not let it sit.

I'm usually not a liquid/gel eyeshadow type, but I tried this out of curiosity and I love it! Very pigmented and dries down quickly, and lasts well on the eyes. The sparkle really pops, and it does have some "chunky" glitter but it doesn't have any fallout! I really want to try the other colors (even the new purple!) and the new blush and highlighter!

I really want the color oil slick. Has anyone tried it? Is it long lasting? Do the colors mush together and look muddy?

I use tarte shape tape to prime my eyes and this glazen eye gloss seems to lift that up and make it patchy when I apply it. It does the same when I set my eyes with powder. Any recommendations on how to get a better application?

Since this is a gloss does it crease and rub off or glob up into your eyelid crease?
