How do you make cloth diapers from leaking with out changing him and his outfit ever half hour?

Adding more absorbency. You can use another microfiber insert or purchase natural fiber inserts such as cotton or hemp, which are much more absorbent than microfiber. If there are gaps in the leg holes, this may be causing the leak. Mess around with the snaps to try and get a better fit.

Fit is the biggest issue with leaks. If using micro fiber and the fit is too tight around the waist you can get compression leaks or if the leg adjustment is too loose the pee just comes right out. It is definitely trial and error but totally worth it in the long run. We love our cloth! I prefer to use cotton or hemp flats in place of the microfiber though, that could help with better absorption.

Make sure they are snug on the legs and make sure there is enough absorbency in them. With heavy wetters, you have to use 2-3 inserts, or you can look online to find other inserts to add in along with the ones that come with the diaper. I had some leaking when I was first learning how to use cloth diapers but after that, never an issue, and mine have been used for 4 years on two children.
