bumble and bumble Surf Spray

A saltwater-based styling spray. This styling spray adds volume and texture to the hair to create a sexy, wind-blown feel. Its salt-infused formula adds fullness, hold, and a cool, matte finish. Salt water is no secret to editorial stylists for adding volume and texture, and anyone who has been in the ocean knows of that salty, sexy, sun-dried, wind-styled feel (that seems such a shame to wash out). So while Bumble and bumble hasn't exactly bottled the real thing, they've replicated and improved it, including seaweed and kelp extracts to enhance moisture. Excellent for wavy types and landlocked surfers with winter blues, this spray adds body to fine hair and adds a nice texture for silver hair. see more...

I have naturally wavy, thick hair and this spray is perfect for when I want to air dry my hair and bring out my natural waves for an un-done, beachy look. I like to towel dry my hair, brush it, and then apply the Surf spray while still damp (not soaking wet) and scrunch it in from the ends to the root. Then about 10 minutes later I’ll go over the ends with a light smoothing spray just for added hydration and to prevent frizz (scrunch again), and once my hair dries I have fun, beachy hair without the crunch!
I was very unimpressed with this surf spray. I had my stylist use it and of course she thought it was amazing. I didn't really notice a difference, but thought I'd test it out. It was didn't give me a good beachy wave look. I have a small amount of wave in my hair, but curl my hair in the wave look. My stylist assured me it would have the same effect with easier effort, but I didn't notice enough of a difference to add this to my daily routine or expense for haircare.
Bumble and bumble products are usually amazing. This stuff has a great beach scent and works well to get that beach wave look. My hair is naturally wavy but is dry and damaged. I spray this onto towel dried hair and scrunch it to create more wave and volume while letting my hair air dry. I’d recommend anyone to try this if they’re looking for a great beach wave product. bumble and bumble Surf Spray
This product is great for helping you achieve a salt-kissed beachy look. It gives your hair light texture and smells great! I really like the results I get when I spray and let air dry. (I think it gives more volume.) The reasons I won’t rate this higher is because the price point.. you’re literally getting a REALLY EXPENSIVE 4oz bottle of salt water spray. You could probably make this at home...
I wanted to love this based on reviews I read but i tried it a few different times and a few different ways and I didn’t get the beach waves all the articles told me I would get. i’m thinking I just have too much hair and it’s too thick/coarse for it. it did a LITTLE bit of texturizing and I was able to make cute pony tails! so i kept it to use for my messy ponies but...that’s about it.
I use this stuff like crazy...and the smell is addictive!!! It holds like a hair spry for me but can easily be brushed out for a different style the next day...it's like a dry shampoo meets a hair spray...and because it's pretty low residue you can wear it in your hair for a few days and reuse and restyle a few times before having to shampoo it out...very important to us bottle blondes.
Gives wavy hair an extra volume and curl. It dries down to a matte finish which is why I will continue to use this product. Other wave enchanting products make the hair too shiny but this one dries completely matte making it look more natural. It’s also great when you need more grip on your hair when making buns and braids. Best for festival seasons.
As I feel with all bumble and bumble products, it’s a good product with a high price tag. I never go back to buying because there’s not enough value for the high price tag. Renpure makes just as good as a surf spray with triple the amount of product for a lesser price. I love Luxury products, but this one isn’t worth the money in my opinion.
Y’all I do not like this stuff oh my... I know it’s a texturizing spray but my hair felt so crunchy and dirty after I sprayed it in. It also caused me to need to wash my hair more often because of the weird residue it left. I have very fine hair but a lot of it so maybe it was too much for my hair. Overall I returned it.
I bought this product with advice from hair stylist. She thought with my wavy hair that it would work well. I could not tell a difference with this product in creating “beach waves” and creating more curl in my hair. My daughter who has less waves used it and it was more noticeable on her hair. She likes the product
