My cat is 5 years old, and I bought this when she was a kitten and she had no problem using it. I still use this product because it is super easy to clean up, the scent is almost non-existent (only smells right after she goes), and it doesn't leave litter all over the floor. We tried this with my older cats and they didn't have the same reaction, would recommend starting them young with this. Great for a place with an exposed litter box to help with the smell!
We switched my cat to this about 6 months ago for multiple reasons. He tracked litter all over the house, the dog would always get into the box, and the upkeep of a litter box was a lot for my super busy family. When we first got it it took him awhile to get used to it. We started by having this new box next to his old box and we stopped scooping the old box. Eventually he started using the new system. I change the pad about once a week and the pellets every month. The upkeep is far less than a normal litter box. The only downside is it costs much more than a litter box. You have to purchase the pellets and the pads and it definitely adds up.
I was excited to try this product because it’s so different than a traditional clumping litter box. I definitely prefer the breeze system over any other litter box we have tried. It helps keep the box clean longer and the odor to a minimum. The pellets can be expensive but they do last a month which makes it reasonable in the long run.
I used this with my cats and we did not like it at all. It was hard to get them to use the pellets, we had to pour some of their "used" litter on top to even get them to consider it. They finally did start using it, but to me it doesn't cover to odor or urine very well. We went back to our original crystal litter
Yes, yes, yes. that's all I need to say about this system - but I'll expound on that for those wondering WHY. I have two neutered, male Sphynx (hairless) cats with high metabolisms - translation: they eat and drink a lot, and therefore use the litter box frequently. Before the Breeze system, I found myself constantly scooping and sweeping. Scooping litter, sweeping litter, adding more litter, cleaning litter, flushing litter, throwing away litter... yeah. I was up to my neck in kitty litter. We used "World's Best" for years - environmentally friendly, chemical free, and didn't cause too many problems with my allergies. It was good, but I wouldn't go so far as to say "world's best." Then we received a coupon for the Breeze system - and thought we didn't have too much to lose. Fully prepared to hate it, we cautiously placed it out for our boys on the opposite side of the bathroom from their current litterbox (we still gave them the choice in case they wanted to back out and use their old one) - within a week EVERYONE (cats included!) were so much happier with the Breeze system. No messy litter being tracked everywhere (just the occasional pellet that the boys bat around the room!), and no constantly bending over to scoop! We change the pad once every 3 days, and use it combined with a paper towel underneath that (in case of any spillage). Despite having multiple boxes, they choose to use the same one (they're littermates), so we really only change out the one box. It's been super cost effective, easy to use, and honestly, probably about on par environmentally speaking, because in conjunction with the Litter Genie, we use no water to flush, and no waste in litter. We consume less, and have less of a mess. Win win!
This is a decent product if you only have one cat. Although having this type of little box is very stressful because there’s a lot that you need to do to get it clean. I wouldn’t buy it again. It’s too expensive and not worth it
We have been using this system in our 1 cat household for about 3 years. Its AWESOME! All you need to start is included here - the litter box, the litter pellets, the litter pads, and the scooper. You put a pad in the tray on the underside of the litter system and you add the pellets into the basin. When you cat goes "wee" it goes through the slats and the pad soaks it up. This way you just scoop the doodies and change the pad once a week (more often for more cats) and the pellets once a month. In the long run this system saves a lot of time and money and cats love it. It keeps things much cleaner, too! Traditional litter can be very messy where these pellets are larger and easier to dust up...they also don't stick in the cats paws to be tracked out. I'd highly recommend this system to anyone with a cat! Well worth it. Affordable! Easy to maintain!
Where has this litter system been all my life? It by far exceeded my expectations! Super easy assembly! I'd choose this over the normal dusty clumping litter system any day! My cat took right to it! He's a large indoor cat and poor boy had a tendency of stepping in his urine when exiting the litter box (he doesn't prefer to cover it after he does his business). With this system, that's not a problem! The only downside that I found was the size of the actual box. Because my cat is on the larger side, I had to remove the side panels so he could move around a little easier.
I am so converted to this system. I've got two cats and only one breeze system, but planning on training the new one to use this box, too. Saves me a lot of time and money trying to clean out the litter, scoop the poop, etc. We keep it in our bathroom so when I go to brush my teeth at the end of the day, I just scoop out whatever's in there, check the pad underneath, and call it a day. I order my replacement materials via amazon or at my local petco. LOVE THIS PRODUCT.
I've had many cats in the past . One in particular was extremely picky. I couldn't help but wonder why he wasn't using his litter box. He would go #2 on my couch!! Yuck ! I went through about 5 different litters until I tried BREEZE . Hallelujah! I finally could buy new furniture. It was something about the clay pellets he enjoyed and all of my other cats loved it as well. I'm assuming if it worked for Catrick Swayze, then any cat will be happy . 5 stars to the moon!!!
