We've had this scratcher for years and it is still in good condition. My cats prefer to hide under it while playing rather than scratching either material (sisal or carpet). It is quite sturdy and will last a long time.

We have two of these. Replaced one of them after 3 years. Needing to replace it shows just how heavily she uses it, daily. But it still lasted years.

One of our cats loves to get ontop of this scratcher and go crazy on it. It's good because the cat that loves it is the one that tends to be destructive around the house. This keeps him distracted for a while from taking out his energy on the couch or other living room furniture. I recommend this scratcher.
