We recently upgraded our camera system and switched to Blink. The quality of the camera and the sensitivity level of the floodlight is great. The only improvement is like to see is the ability to have the batteries charged via solar.

I was never able to set this up. QR for wouldn't scan. Basically it was a bust all around for me. I downloaded the app and followed all instructions with no success.

I’m reviewing this under the Outdoor 4 Floodlight Camera because there isn’t a listing for the Blink Wired Floodlight Camera (1st Gen), but the core functionality is quite similar. We added the wired floodlight version as part of a broader upgrade to our Blink system and love how clearly it integrates into the newer generation via the Sync Module (2025). The video quality is excellent, and the floodlight is responsive and bright. This camera has become such a reliable part of our home security setup that we’ve since ordered more Blink Outdoor cameras. The only hiccup during installation was due to our older wiring; we didn’t have a ground wire in the outdoor receptacle box, which this model requires which meant that we had to hire an electrician to bring some things up to code, not terrible. Blink’s app provided very clear, step-by-step instructions, which made everything else smooth. This floodlight cam has impressed us so much that we’re planning to uninstall our old wired camera system. We’re sticking with Blink for now. (No photo because that is a security issue)
