We bought this for my mother in law. Her previous vacuum was really old and worn out. We decided to clean her entire carpet (bedrooms, hall, and living room) and her couches. I could not believe the amount of dirt and stuff we picked up with this vacuum. The best part about this is the clear bucket because you can SEE the vacuum working and bringing in all this gunk.
I would definitely recommend this product. It was a great bargain price ($68 @ Walmart) and it works incredibly well.
The attached picture is from vacuuming a quarter of a big 3 seat sofa.
