The empire of tamriel is on the edge. The high king of skyrim has been murdered. Alliances form as claims to the throne are made. In the midst of this conflict, a far more dangerous, ancient evil is awakened. Dragons, long lost to the passages of the elder scrolls, have returned to tamriel. The future of skyrim, even the empire itself, hangs in the balance as they wait for the prophesized dragonborn to come; a hero born with the power of the voice, and the only one who can stand amongst the dragons. Choose from hundreds of weapons, spells, and abilities. The new character system allows you to play any way you want and define yourself... see more...

Skyrim is a fascinating game filled with drama and adventure. It blends well with the other games in the Elder Scrolls series. The map is vast and the quests are plentiful. The graphics are beautiful, even breathtaking. They put a ton of emotion and passion in this game. Some of the quests really have the ability to make you think and feel. All in all a really fun and immersive game. It is prone to some minor glitching and crashing though.

Even after years if it's release, this game remains to be one of my favorites. It's open map is incredible and beautifully designed for the best experience. You can tell a lot of work was put into this game. The story line is good, and all the side quests just make the game so much more enjoyable. You can really choose your adventure and how you want the game to proceed. I can't wait to see what they release next

There is a reason this game is #1. It is so fun and addicting, the graphics are amazing, and the storyline is good... Although I started wandering around early on and messed it all up. I love games that you can go wherever you want though. Ive ran into places I couldn't pass as a result but I've had fun along the way so I still play that way haha! I love love love this game. It gets your heart racing when the dragons come!

First off, let me start off by saying that I love role playing games. I love games that offer me choices, or the ability to explore to my hearts content (while offering a slight restriction). I love, and enjoy a good story.

Skyrim does not meet my expectations of those. Yes, it is absolutely beautiful. I loved running around, riding my horse, and just going into random caves in which I can explore and fight in.
But I just didn't feel connected to my character whatsoever.

I want to feel as if I made a difference in the game, I want to feel as if I myself, am situation in the game. But instead, Skyrim made me feel like a grown up, wielding a giant sword, amongst a crowd of children.

Besides the poor story telling, and story in general, there were glitches galore. There I was, riding with my horse, and some companion, and oops! My horse runs off the cliff without me, as my companion just jumps nonstop into a rock. Yikes.

Anyways, if you love open world games, you'll love this. Skyrim is not a bad game, but personally for ME (and some others) this game just doesn't make the cut. Overall Skyrim is a game worth trying. Heck, it's worth spending a couple hours in. Just keep in mind of your personal game preference when trying this out.
