The empire of tamriel is on the edge. The high king of skyrim has been murdered. Alliances form as claims to the throne are made. In the midst of this conflict, a far more dangerous, ancient evil is awakened. Dragons, long lost to the passages of the elder scrolls, have returned to tamriel. The future of skyrim, even the empire itself, hangs in the balance as they wait for the prophesized dragonborn to come; a hero born with the power of the voice, and the only one who can stand amongst the dragons. Choose from hundreds of weapons, spells, and abilities. The new character system allows you to play any way you want and define yourself... see more...

This is seriously one of the best games I've played in a long time. It is very similar in gameplay to Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas which makes sense since they are all Bethesda games. I love all these games. The only problem with it is that it is a little buggy at first but now they have patched it enough so that there are minimal problems. Just remember to save often and you will be fine.

I love games where you can choose to play how you want and this is no disappointment. You can be good, evil, neutral, a werewolf, a vampire, or even just blacksmith all the time. There are endless possibilities to how you play. If you are a fan of RPGs or action games this is definitely a must have for you.

You know you liked the game when you are holding your breath. I am so emotionally invested in TES that I'm dying to play the next one. There are so many things that are great in this game. The music and the atmosphere are very important. There's so much work in the details and the experience. You can tell they wanted you to fall in love. To just stare at the view. To feel curious about what is going to happen. Maybe today, 2016, doesn't seems so impressive, but back 2010 it was a big deal, it left a mark on me as a gamer. And That's when you realize it's a good game. I recommend you to play this, take you time, enjoy it, explore it. And when you are done playing go watch gamer poop: skyrim on youtube and laugh. ūüĎĆ

I played this game on the PC as soon as it came out and it took up all of my free time for about two months. I love that the gaming engine makes it so that you can continue playing for as long as you want. The landscapes are gorgeous and it was wonderful just traveling from point to point. The size of the game file itself was awesome. The whole game was less than 1 GB. For something as expansive as this it's pretty much unheard of to have such a small file size.

Skyrim lets itself be played however you want to. Plenty of people have challenged themselves to play it in ridiculous ways. Some people refuse to kill anything, some try to collect all the cabbages they possibly can. The only thing you can't do is complete the game because quests keep respawning. You can still get the full experience without 'completing' it though. I went through all of the major quest lines and had a wonderful time.

This game not only has an amazing story line but it also has amazing graphics. At the start of the game after a brief introduction you get to create your character and unlike most games you get several different races to choose from and then you can still modify your character's features. Later on in the game you also have the issue of being unable to run do to the fact that you are carrying too many items. I love that! It brings it back to being more realistic, no one has infinite space and at that point you must choose what is most important. You also get to use several different weapons, weapon combinations and spells. Who doesn't like using a little bit of magic?! Amazing game!!

I played Morrowind and Oblivion before this game and they just keep getting better! The dragons were a great addition and they were extremely well done. The main quest line was short, but there are endless things to do besides that so it's okay. The landscape is beautiful, just wandering around is fun, and you discover a lot of places if you walk around. I found the guilds to be more interesting, definitely worth joining in those. You can get married! But not to a Khajiit sadly...I even tried mods, but none of the ones I tried worked, so let me know if you find a working one? The game alone is fun and you can never truly beat it, but as long as you're careful, a few mods can spice it up a bit if you get bored. But be careful not to ruin your game if you take that route!
I put literally hundreds of hours into this game, it's worth the buy! It's great on both the PC and X-box.

Out of all the games out there I tend to stick to RPGs. When this game was being advertised the husband and I couldn't wait to get our hands on it. He ended up enjoying it more than I did. The game has great graphics and its a bonus that you are able to travel where ever you want, but I found the story to be a bit slow and the loading process took an excessive amount of time. I also, prefer my games and their quests to be lumped together in a general area, so I can get them all done and be done with it. These quests were very spread out and there is a lot of traveling back and forth, which takes a lot of loading it was an endless cycle. I was also not a fan of the weight limits for items being held in the bags, or at least I felt like the items the character was wearing should not have been included in the bag weight. It was a good game to take up some time, but ultimately just not for me.

Time passes really fast when you are playing this game. The first six hours went by in the blink of an eye yesterday ... my character is at level 10 and I feel like I have barely scratched the surface of anything. If you like these kinds of games, you will be hooked because Bethesda has managed to create something which really nails it on every level. I am a heavily magic oriented player so I spent most of my time so far in the mages' guild in winterhold. For some reason though the Dark Brotherhood wants me dead and sent an assassin to kill me. I was just messing around with some conjuration spells in a forest glen and the assassin was killed by this flame creature I had conjured before I even knew what was going on. Looted the body and found a note saying they want me dead. Stuff like that just happens and it is awesome. Dungeons btw are really fun and very well designed.

When I say best bang for your buck, I mean that you get hours, and I mean HOURS of gameplay (I know for sure my game save has over 100 hours on it). The game is gorgeous, immersive, rich, and engrossing. It is a huge game however, and like most Bethesda games you will encounter glitches in the game (save often!). If you love exploration and games where you can really choose the way you want to play, this is the game for you. Hearthfire, one of the DLCs (downloadable custom content), is basically like The Sims because you get to build your own house. Lastly, there are also so many memes out there about Skyrim - if you play it you'll totally get a laugh out of them!
