This was my go-to product for stubborn acne in my 20s. When it comes to Benzagel, you need to ease into it, this isn’t a product you can rush into and you won’t see results overnight. When I first started using it, I applied it 1–2 times per week at night. I never used it during the daytime. Once my skin adjusted, I gradually increased the number of days I used it until I was eventually applying it every night. Some tightness and dryness are expected while using this product. I experienced both for a while until my skin got used to Benzagel. You don’t need to apply a thick layer, a thin layer is more than enough. Think less is more. I only applied it to problem areas, such as my forehead and chin, as well as my upper back. I did not apply it to my entire face. I also didn’t use moisturizer before or after applying it. But I made sure to keep my skin moisturized during the day. If you plan to use a product like this, I highly recommend using an old t-shirt or placing a towel over your pillowcase. This gel will bleach fabric. The same applies if you’re using it on your back, it can definitely bleach your clothing. Take a look at the photo I provided, and you’ll see how it lightened my shirt. Make sure to wash your hands thoroughly after using this product, as it can even bleach your hand towel, I learned that the hard way! I used this product on and off for several years, and it saved my skin. I was left with dark acne scars, and Benzagel helped fade them over time. It takes patience, but my skin cleared up after months of consistent use. I would repurchase again because it truly worked for me.

I use this product regularly, because it really helps to prevent breakouts. This gel is strong - i wpukd recommend easing into it by using it every second or third day at first and seeing how your skin reacts. It can he drying, so I always make sure to apply moisturizer overtop. I (used to!) suffer from acne along my jawline, but since I started using Benzagel in the morning after cleansing, I've stopped breaking out. For me, Benzagel seems to work best as a preventative measure - i use it regularly to prevent breakouts from occurring. When I actually do break out, I don't find the Benzagel effective, I'll instead use salicylic or another BHA. Be careful when using Benzagel, because benzoyl peroxide can bleach fabrics - only use light colored/white washcloths and towels with the Benzagel! Regularly using Benzagel has really cleared up my skin - I get far less breakouts, and the pimples that do pop up are less severe. Wonderful product for acne prone skin, I'm probably on my twelfth tube now and there's definitely a thirteenth in my future.
