- "every collaboration between becca cosmetics and jacklyn hill has always been absolutely amazing, so this shimmer skin perfector on the shade champagne pop is no different. it is not this mega intense glow but it is perfect to mix into your foundation or wear it as a base prior to foundation, so your skin will achieve this beauitful healthy radiance. it can be an incredible highlight though if you apply a powder highlighter over it." in 407 reviews
- "beautiful highlighter. it gives you a natural and bright youthful glow. it's very blendable, i would recommend applying it with a wet beauty blender or your fingers. i'd recommend this to everyone! it looks really good on the high points of your face." in 307 reviews
- "i have the color champagne pop and absolutely love it. i have a really light skin tone and it looks good on me, but if you have a darker complexion it will look even more beautiful. the only reason i gave it four stars is because it is not always practical to apply for rushed mornings. if you are like me, i would recommend using the powder for faster application. I absolutely love this because it can be used for so many purposes. The quality of Becca is superb, to begin with. Becca doesn't follow trends, but rather their line has carried key products for a beautiful overall look since the beginning. They had Shimmering Skin Perfectors way before highlighting became such a huge thing. I primarily use this product by blending a pump of it into my matte foundation (I wear the Becca Ultimate Complexion Creme), to provide an overall dewey look with the "lit from within" appearance. I can't recommend this product enough. It's great! You can also use it by applying a little over your matte lipstick or on your eyes. You can also apply directly over the cheekbones as a highlighter. So many uses! To definitely worth trying. A little goes a long way, and one tube of this will last for years!
I use this under my foundation to get that illuminated look! A little product definitely goes a long way with this. Becca has unbelievable highlighters it’s crazy .
Review for: Champagne Pop (soft gold with sunny, peach undertones) more...
I love the Jaclyn Hill collection! The color is Perfect, I love the champagne one the undertone is perfect for every skin type I feel, and it’s long lasting and buttery, I would definitely buy I.T again!
Review for: Opal more...
I absolutely love my Becca highlighters! As a rule I typically prefer a pressed powder highlight over anything liquid or loose powder. This liquid highlight does work nicely so it's just a matter of preference for me. I ended up getting this liquid highlight in a two pack that also came with a mini compact of the pressed powder version also in shade Opal. I find that I use the compact almost every day and I very rarely touch the liquid version of it. It does work nicely, it blends well, and it gives a blinding highlight so it's really just what you prefer to use. All of the Becca cosmetics products are all very well-made and are definitely high-end formulas. If you're looking for a good highlighter I would definitely suggest going right to Becca and sampling the products. Whether you choose the pressed powder or the liquid you won't be disappointed!!!
Winter is here and I have never had such a dry skin ever. My makeup looked sooo dull, so life less so "makeupy". Had to find something to bring back a subtle dew and glow to my skin. The most recommended product to achieve my goal was this Becca illuminating primer and boy it does the perfect job! Received compliments every day as I was wearing it, that I look so glowing and healthy! This is exactly what I wanted to acheve, I adore this product and will always repurchase! It is sold at a higher price range, but it is worth every penny you pay for it! Highly recommend for dry dull skin to look healthy and glowing!
I have this in the shade Opal and it is a beautiful natural golden color. I could see it working for almost every skintone! This a a dewy but intense highlight and a little goes a very long way. I only use the tiniest dot on my cheekbones. It is a great value for the price because it will take you forever to use it up. I've heard people say this formula would be best for dry skin but I have oily skin and it works well for me too. The only reason I took off one star is that sometimes when I apply it over my base makeup it disturbs the makeup underneath.
The BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal is absolutely gorgeous. I have a iighter skin tone and it still looked gorgeous. I have rather deep pores on my cheek area and was shocked that it didn't emphasize my pores. I felt it had a decent lasting power. It did fade throughout the day. However, when I placed a powder highlighter over top, it lasted much longer. I will say this isn't a "natural" highlight at all in my opinion. I would also advise to not apply with fingers or it leaves a harsh line/awkward splotches. I used my Beauty Blender and it blended out gorgeously. The price is a bit steep, so I have just purchased the deluxe sample size when I run into it due to the fact that I don't use a HUGE amount of highlighter on the day-to-day.
Q & A
Would you recommend this shade for fair skin?
I'm a fan of other Becca products but I haven't gotten this yet. Is it easy to go really overboard with this and look almost clown-ish? And if you do go overboard, how easy is it to fix it? Do you have to basically start over with your makeup in that area or is it fairly easy to either rub off/cover up?
This may be a silly question but should you only use highlighter if you foundation?
Does this give a subtle, work appropriate glow?
I saw this mini at Sephora and I wanted to try it out before I buy the bigger one, but would Opal be too dark for a light skin tone? And does anyone know if the pressed, powder, or cream is better?
