Why: I have dehydrated oily skin and when I follow my skincare routine properly (especially with a moisturizer) this foundation looks great. It claims that it's supposed to minimize the appearance of your pores while giving you a medium coverage. That is exactly what it did! Though the days where I don't follow my skincare routine I find that it does want to cling on to any dry patches I may have but even then it doesn't look too cakey. It is MEANT for combo/oily skin types so if anything I appreciate how much it wants to keep my oils at bay throughout the day, without drying my face out. The formula does oxidize but the claimed "neutral" undertone of the shade stays true so it's not a worrisome factor whatsoever. I wear this during the Summer when I produce a ton of oil and during Winter when my face is a bit drier. It never fails. Always gives me a smooth looking matte finish.
I wore it for one of my photoshoots earlier this year when it was EXTREMELY hot and humid without any problems or reapplications. I have yet to experience any flashback from this too. Very versatile for us oiler skin gals! Dry skin? Sory, this isn't the one for you.
My skin is normally very combination with some sparse dry areas but it’s mostly oily in my t zones. I used the Becca back light primer with this, and the urban decay all nighter setting spray.
When I first put this on along my jaw line, I noticed it looked very pretty but the color was a bit too light for me. And any darker color way a bit too dark. I went with using the lighter color.
I went home and applied the rest of it to my entire face. And almost immediately it broke apart on my nose. And it caught all my little dry patches too. After a little while, it became very cakey on my face, too. Overall it did NOT look good.
Not to mention if I tried to take a picture with flash, there was some serious flash back. I looked like a ghost. No matter what translucent powder I used.
I was highly disappointed in this foundation and I do not recommend it to anyone!
I have combination skin and it clings onto dry patch’s on your face. And it’s almost too matte. My skin looked cakey. I had to really moisturize my skin to make it work.
This foundation oxidizes a shade or two darker
I would only recommend this product to someone who has severely oily skin. And recommend that you get a shade or two lighter than your own skin tone.
