I was on the hunt for a matte foundation that wouldn't settle in my smile lines or look cakey. Found it!

Why: I have dehydrated oily skin and when I follow my skincare routine properly (especially with a moisturizer) this foundation looks great. It claims that it's supposed to minimize the appearance of your pores while giving you a medium coverage. That is exactly what it did! Though the days where I don't follow my skincare routine I find that it does want to cling on to any dry patches I may have but even then it doesn't look too cakey. It is MEANT for combo/oily skin types so if anything I appreciate how much it wants to keep my oils at bay throughout the day, without drying my face out. The formula does oxidize but the claimed "neutral" undertone of the shade stays true so it's not a worrisome factor whatsoever. I wear this during the Summer when I produce a ton of oil and during Winter when my face is a bit drier. It never fails. Always gives me a smooth looking matte finish.

I wore it for one of my photoshoots earlier this year when it was EXTREMELY hot and humid without any problems or reapplications. I have yet to experience any flashback from this too. Very versatile for us oiler skin gals! Dry skin? Sory, this isn't the one for you.

I was very excited to try this foundation. I am usually a fan of Becca and I am a REALLY big fan of matte foundations.

My skin is normally very combination with some sparse dry areas but it’s mostly oily in my t zones. I used the Becca back light primer with this, and the urban decay all nighter setting spray.

When I first put this on along my jaw line, I noticed it looked very pretty but the color was a bit too light for me. And any darker color way a bit too dark. I went with using the lighter color.

I went home and applied the rest of it to my entire face. And almost immediately it broke apart on my nose. And it caught all my little dry patches too. After a little while, it became very cakey on my face, too. Overall it did NOT look good.

Not to mention if I tried to take a picture with flash, there was some serious flash back. I looked like a ghost. No matter what translucent powder I used.

I was highly disappointed in this foundation and I do not recommend it to anyone!

I had very high hopes for this foundation but I was very disappointed.

I have combination skin and it clings onto dry patch’s on your face. And it’s almost too matte. My skin looked cakey. I had to really moisturize my skin to make it work.

This foundation oxidizes a shade or two darker

I would only recommend this product to someone who has severely oily skin. And recommend that you get a shade or two lighter than your own skin tone.

I use this as a backup when the foundation under my eyes starts to fade off. The cost is a bit pricey, and its hard to find my color including during the summer ( some people have winter colors and summer colors) Although I am a fan of Becca, l am not a fan of the matte shine proof not living up to its full potential, it doesnt stay on long and it makes a cakey appearance.

Foundation was horrible for me. I have oily skin and it just made my skin even worse. if I use this with a foundation brush it would just settle into all my pores especially in my nose, but if I used a beauty blender it was more manageable, but still within a few hours I looked like a greasy mess. Will never purchase again

I remember going into a Sephora and getting a sample of this and the poreless perfecting primer and when I got home and tried it out I did not like it at all! I ended up trying the foundation with another primer and vise versa and was still very unhappy. My face looked so dry and could not blend for the life of me. I moisturized my face great that day too so it was insane how it was doing that. I like my matte foundations don't get me wrong, but this one I don't know, something wasn't right. I had such a horrible makeup day and the foundation was also separating as well around my forehead and nose area. Yuck.

For a lighter feeling foundation, I always use this. It says 'Full coverage', but I find that It's more of a medium coverage. It's still a good foundation nonetheless, for my lighter makeup days I try to use this. And you get a lot more product than it looks like!

This is the best foundation I've ever used. I was previously using lancome's teinte idole 24h foundation which left me oily after 3-4 hours and wanted to find something better. As a person with very oily skin this product worked well for me. It lasts a full 12 hours and only my nose looks slightly shine ( I'm saying this as a someone who obsessively blots). . I've also been using the becca primer and as a pair, both work very well together. My only thing is that this more of a medium to full coverage foundation and not a total full coverage. I am deducting a star however because of the finish. The finish is almost TOO matte looking. Using a sponge helps, but once the foundation has set, it can leave the skin looking a little powdery  but a finishing spray or setting spray can take some of that effect away.

this is the foundation i use whenever we're going to be taking lots of photos or anything like that. it looks SO nice on my skin and doesn't accentuate pores or make my skin oily & it lasts for a very long time on me when set with a powder

This is a think foundation!! Like I mix mine with some fix plus to loosen it up a little bit, but once you get it to the consistency you like it applies amazingly! The color range is bomb too!! The price it not too expensive because a little foundation goes a long way.

I love this foundation but have a hard time blending it out evenly. Anyone have the same experience and how do you get an even application?

To those with oily skin that have used this successfully, which primer did you use? Also, which setting powder and/or setting spray?

Does this stay on and keep your face matte all day? How is the color? Does it oxidize?
