I think this item does the job quite well! It's light and easy to apply and it's not too thick and I do feel like my nails' surfaces become smooth. It dries pretty fast and it works just as expected, plus it's not completely clear it's a little opaque which hold whatever nail polish color I pick pop up

It keeps my nails smooth so when I paint them there are no bumps. I haven't heard of this type of thing from different brands which is one of the reasons why I bought it. I would recommend this to people with thin or short nails.
