A Foundation Routine Necessity!! Working for a makeup brand, I've never had anything negative to say about the Bare Minerals Foundation Primer. The Original formula targets normal/combo/dry skin. They also have one for oily skin to help control oil throughout the day. Its smooths away any flakeyness and helps foundation from settling in fine lines and around acne. This primer leaves your skin silky you the touch and honestly make sure a HUGE difference in the wear and finish of your foundation. As long as you give it adequate time to absorb (1-1 1/2mins) you're going to feel great about the way your makeup turns out.
I received a sample of this from Ulta the last time I ordered from them. I thought this was going to be perfect, because I was already using the Bare Miberals Powder. I was wrong! I makes me very oily. I feels like it breaks down my foundation powder and makes me shiny and oily all day. That being said I don't usully have very oily skin, so I'm not sure where the problem is comming from.
It does not last long at all and it makes m skin dry and flakey. I use bare minerals already so I thought I would like this and it would be the perfect primer for my face but I think it looks much better if I don't use a primer with my bare minerals. I don't recommend this but I do have large pores. It may work for someone with smaller pores. For me it is not worth the price.
I love this product (shade original) because it doesn't have a color so you don't have to worry about it not matching you. It's a clear gel formula. It has a nice matte finish and it also minimizes pores along with priming. I've lost count with how many times I have repurchased this item. It's a definite must have for oily skin. The pink one is the older packaging and the plain whit one is the new packaging. Same formula.
This is the best primer I have tried. It truly creates a flawless canvas for you to apply your make-up. I have large pores on my nose, and this makes them disappear.I also have extremely sensitive skin and I haven't had any reactions to this primer. There isn't a scent to it, and a very small amount gets the job done. It's not cheap, but it's definitely worth the investment.
This is my FAVORITE primer! I have tried quite a few different ones just to see if I could find one I love this much, and it impossible. I have oily/combination skin and it works awesome! Gives me a natural matte finish after makeup and helps my makeup last much longer. Without it, my makeup is gone within a few hours. I would highly recommend this to everyone!
This is a must for all foundation starters! It's smooths flaws and helps eliminate flakes. It's silky to the touch and provides a great base for makeup application. It does take a few minutes to fully absorb, but you will notice the matte finish immediately and then you can start your regular make up application. I wouldn't start my makeup routine without it!
I love this primer. It is my go to and I use it every day. It may seem like a fairly steep price but just for the fact that I have been using the same product for about 2 years without repurchasing definitely makes it worth it. The product itself leaves a beautiful, smooth base for liquid foundation and sufficiently increases the length of the makeups wear.
Feels nice on the skin but I don't feel like it actually does much. Doesn't control oil, my make up didn't seem to last much longer and I just felt it only smoothd the look of my skin slightly but not really noticeably. I will say for someone who struggles with sensitive and acne prone skin this didn't cause any sort of break out or reaction for me.
