The idea behind them is good, the execution of that idea is not. This glue stick goes on purple and dries clear which is pretty genius for kids. The adhesion is just not as good as I would like. Don't use this if you need the glued components to stay in place for a long time. They're cheap but I would buy the Elmer's ones instead, they just work better.
It works pretty well with paper crafts, but doesn't work very well for any other crafts. Other than that, it is very effective and affordable too! It's not too expensive and you can usually find a better deal on these versus another brand. I recommend only for paper crafts or paper gluing.
These are typical in elementary school classrooms. They run out really fast and not completely reliable with the adhesive but let's be honest you're buying a big pack of them and most likely using them for arts and crafts and for the classroom. For those purposes that's all you really need. Cheap!
I like using these because they're non-toxic and avoid-free. They're not as sticky add other glue sticks, but they work well for paper projects. Avery Permanent Glue Stics Purple Application

I bought box of theses for semester.i thought the purplevdisapearing was going to be helpful but find its not real assest.the clear ones work fine.holds ok mostly good adding to journals attaching images.i wouldn't recommend.

I prefer using another leading brand because these tend to dry up more easily and it doesn't make my creative projects look very appealing after I apply the glue.

I would definitely recommend Elmer's Glue Sticks over these any day- these glue sticks dry out within a week or two and do not even do that great of a job gluing things together even before they've dried out.

I remember using these in grade school and hating them. We were too poor to splurge for Elmers sticks, and these ones always got hard and crusty within a couple weeks.

I hate glue sticks. They are the worst to use. The resin leaves a sticky strands behind. Plus clumps behind as well.
