Avalon organics is the first natural haircare brand I tried, and I used to love it, but now since using it before finding out the lawsuit on this brand, it hasn't been moisturizing my hair as much, no healthy sheen , and my hair is damaged. It also contains sodium coco sulfate, while it reads on the front sulfate free. I found this on clearance for $2.78 at big y, a world class supermarket, a reputable store to buy at, so it must not be the batch. Back when it did wonders for my hair, it was $5.99 @tjmaxx. Still smells natural. Always had cute packaging.
for the price point, I think this is a fantastic drugstore level shampoo!
On my wash days I usually do a double shampoo, and I find that I could easily get away with one if I choose to, when using this shampoo. It really cleanses my scalp so well, and I find that I do not need a scalp scrub paired with this, as it’s very effective on its own.
It has a very fresh and clean lemon scent that lingers after showering, and the product doesn’t weigh down the hair at all, nor causes it to dry out! But it provides all the benefits and gets my hair very clean afterwards!
