Pages without question. The templates are amazing if you're doing anything other than a standard document and it saves in all Word formats.

I would get the newest Microsoft Office although it is a little pricey. It is super trustworthy and people use it everywhere. So if you have a school presentation or a work presentation that needs to be opened elsewhere, Microsoft is the way to go since many many people own it as well.

I would recommend either Google Doc/Drive it is only accessible online but you can also use it on your phone (It is free). Or Quick Word Pro which is only $7!

Pages! It's available in the app store for $20, way cheaper than microsoft word, and it's more compatible for Mac computers.

I would recommend Pages that is an apple product. It's more compatible, faster, and allows you to do a variety of things including; Blank Pages, Word Processing, Greeting Cards, Brochures. It's also easier to edit the text, insert text, photos, making creating and editing things much more easier.
