One of my favorites! This wine is smooth with notes of berry and chocolate. This unique combination is delightful. The price point stays in budget.
I’ve always been a fan of Apothic wines. It’s one of the first wines I remember learning about at the restaurant I worked at 18 years ago. I would say unfortunately this is my least favorite of the Apothic family. It’s just a little too dry, and heavy for my pallet. I would still recommend it to red wine drinkers though
Apothic Red Blend — a juicy, smooth red with lush notes of dark berries, mocha, vanilla, and a hint of spice. It pours deep ruby, smells fruity and slightly sweet on the nose, and tastes of cherry and blackberry with a soft, velvety texture that makes it easy to sip casually.
That said — it’s also a bit sweet and light, with low tannins and a somewhat thin mouthfeel compared to more structured reds. If you want an easy-drinking, accessible red that’s good for gatherings or simple meals, it hits the spot; but if you prefer a complex or dry wine, it might feel too simple or cloying.
