I have also been careful with my wok and tend to use nonstick-safe utensils. I have scraped it with metal a few times and it has seemed to have no effect, but I do not push the envelope unless I need to. I have never used a brillo pad or anything more abrasive than a sponge. I have never needed to use the scrubbing side of the sponge due to the non-stick ability, but I think that it is durable enough to handle it. I anticipate this pan will serve me well for years to come. If you take care of it, it will last for years and be a pleasure to use. I highly recommend it for anyone that likes to cook and wants a non-stick surface that will not deteriorate rapidly like standard teflon.
