  • "the darker shades are too dark for someone with paler skin but the lightest contour is perfect! the highlight is nice and subtle. banana powder is good especially if you've never used it before and want to test it out. overall the quality is five star but the shades are a three. I still believe that this palette contains the best hands down under eye setting powder which is the banana powder in the top middle. As you can see from the photo I included I didn't get much use out of the kit otherwise. The deep colors for contouring were too dark for my skin tone and didn't blend easily. I enjoyed the ease of packaging with the magnetic closure. This was one of the very first high-end products I purchased this product so long ago on the Anastasia website I believe it was Anastasia.Net back then! I have since tried lots of other Contour Products and have found better options. I have also since tried many ABH products over the years that I loyally repurchase over and over! However as I mentioned the banana shade is by far the best product I've ever used for setting powder under the eyes. They have since offered just the refill pans which is wonderful for putting into custom makeup palettes. I would not repurchase this Contour kit a second time but even though I exclusively used one shade the price was worth it for just that shade alone...its that AMAZING. I have owned so many contour kits, and this one is one of the top ones I've tried. Overall, I do like it and would recommend it, but I will break down the pros and cons for anyone interested!

-Shade Options- there are light-deep options which make it POC inclusive
-Refillable- you can order a new pan if you use up a shade
-Customizable- you can create your own custom kit online
-Pigment- it is nicely pigmented. It's not the most pigmented one I've tried, but it's not bad by ANY means
-Easy to use- because it's not overloaded with pigment, it's easy for beginners and makes contouring less intimidating
-Texture- the powders are nice and soft and bendable
-Multi Use- contouring, highlighting, bronzing, yellow to set undereyes, and even makes great eye shadow for a contoured eye look! Also can be used in brows!

-I'm not a huge fan of the packaging
- Not all of the 'contour shades' are very cool toned (but the one that isn't makes a good bronzer)

Anastasia Beverly Hills The Original Contour Kit changed my makeup game forever! When I bought this Palette, I leveled up! They make 3 Palettes for 3 different skin tones; Light to medium, medium to tan, and tan to dark, all containing 3 highlighting shades and 3 Contour shades... You want a slimmer nose, smaller forehead, chiseled jawline, or have cheekbones for days? Than this is gonna be your best friend! They also make a cream pallet, along with the powder pallet... It’s just a matter of preference... The 6 pallet highlight and contour colors magnetically fit into your pallet so if you need more of one color, you can buy another one, instead of buying the whole pallet, again, or you can share a color that you don’t use with a friend or sister, in my case... Sephora actually sells a empty magnetic pallet that you can transfer the color or colors into like I did for my baby sister... I actually thought that was really inventive and cost conserving... Go out and get one of these pallets, if you haven’t already... You’ll thank me later, Influensters, I promise!!!

This is a good palette! I feel like it's the OG of Contour palettes it's where they all started coming out with their own. I love the yellow banana powder I order it by itself all the time! The palette is nice though all together if I have the whole thing I will mix the beige with the yellow to brighten up my under eyes and clean up my cheek Contour. I like that the Contour sheets don't have any orange and red in them the undertone is more of a gray so it looks more like a shadow. You can go for a very natural Contour with it or you could go for a very dramatic Contour and you can get away with both using the same palette. Like I said this was like the first one that came out that was worth it so it's still one of my favorites, but I feel like since then they have come out with some other ones that are better like the Kat Von D shade and light palette and the Lorac Contour Pro palette. But it's still a very nice palette especially that banana powder!

I think this is a great contour kit to have. I have light Asian skin and use most of the colors. I tend to blend the three browns together and it goes on smoothly on my face. It is easy to blend and lasts throughout my day. I use the yellow/banana color to set underneath my eyes. There is a highlighter which I sometimes use but it’s very subtle. I tend to like more blinding highlights. I don’t use the first light color; I think it has too much pink undertone for me. If you run out of a powder you can take it out and replace it. I actually found this palette at Marshall’s. I have seen this and the cream contour at both Marshall’s and TJmaxx for less than $20 (not broken or swatched) but you can also find it at Sephora and Ulta for $40. I would definitely recommend if you don’t have a contour palette already!

I absolutely love this product. I have tried many Contour Products from several different brands and this one is by far the best. The colors are natural looking and the blend ability and velvety finish are second to none. I love that they offer both liquid and powder versions of their contour and highlight products as I have sensitive skin and the powder version does not bother my skin. The highlighter in the medium kit is beautiful and has a great color payoff that gives you a natural glowy look. Also, the yellow brightening powder is amazing for under-eye use to set concealer & each of the bronze Contour colors have an amazing natural Glow and definition to them. I bought this kit over a year ago and still have plenty of product left to use since they give you a lot and the color pigment is so strong that you only need to use a small amount each time. Would recommend this product to everyone!

This was my first contour kit and is great for beginners. I do reach for my Kat Von D contour kit more often than this, but this is still a very close second. I find that some of the colors can be patchy but they generally go on smooth for me with the right brushes. The top left two shades are AMAZING for setting the underage, chin, and forehead. The highlight in the pallet is subtle which is something I like in a highlight. I dont usually use any contour shade except the bottom right one, but the other two go on great for my friends with darker skin tones than mine!
Another great thing about this pallet is that the pans can be taken out and replaced.

I feel like bad I been asked to review this product a few years ago, my rating may have been higher. But at this time today, regardless of my love for most ABH products, I just can’t give this more than 3 stars for the simple fact that there are so many more contour products out in the market that are both more affordable and more practical. I hardly buy “kits” of anything these days.. I find it wasteful and takes up space in my makeup drawers for a product that only part of it is used, cause let’s be real, no one generally uses ALL the shades in a kit. Sure you can re-utilize the shades that don’t work for your complexion by using it for eyeshadow or something, but then again, I own so many eyeshadow palettes that I’m not going to pull out a contour kit to use a shade for my eye looks. Now speaking for the product itself, it’s a good product, like most ABH products - the shades are pigmented without being overly pigmented, they are generous in size, there is variety for different skintones making it an inclusive product and nowadays you can find these kits for half the price at your local TJ Maxx, making it affordable!

I am an absolute fan of this contour kit! It's currently my only contour kit and it works quite well in Real Technique brushes. I also use a Wet n' Wild angled brush for the banana color.

Generally, I use the two darkest shades as a mixture for my cheek indents and also my jawline for a chiseled effect. I find the highlighter difficult to pickup sometimes, so I just use a finger to swipe. Though, this does not impact my ability to use all the shades in this contour kit. Highly recommend. YouTube tutorials have helped me use this product!

I really wanted to like this kit. I had been looking for a nice contour kit for awhile and when I saw that this was going to be half off on Black Friday I had to buy it. I tried to convince myself that it was okay at first but honestly, if you're pale these shades are not going to do you any justice. They're too warm toned, I needed some cool toned browns so that I wouldn't look orange. Sadly these did make me look orange and now it sits in the back of my makeup closet. The product itself is okay, I didn't find that it blended very well either, but that could've just been me. I guess I'll just have to wait for another affordable contour kit with cool toned browns.
