Review for: Truffle Glitter, Dusty Rose (dusty lilac, velvet finish), Metal (silver gold, titanium finish), Chiffon (antique gold, titanium finish) (online only), Buon Fresco (antique lavender, ultra-matte finish), Pink Champagne, Victorian (antique silver, metallic finish) (online only) more...
I have been hearing people rave about ABH shadows for years but none of their palettes appealed to me, so I decided to try out some singles. I have a mix of finishes but I think the true standouts are the glitter and metallic shades which go on looking wet and are super reflective. The satin and matte shades are nice too, but they aren't much better than any of the other mattes in my collection. I do like these shadows more than my other single shadows, so much better than Colourpop and a step up from MAC, but they are also quite pricey per pan, even with the 4 for $40 offer. I got 8 on Black Friday where they were 50% off and I think that if I get any more in the future I will wait for that sale. I find it really annoying that Sephora only carries a select few in stores, all of which are warm neutrals, pinks, and oranges, because it can be difficult to tell what they will look like in person. I think the color selection is pretty good but lacking in cool toned neutrals and jewel tones. Overall, I recommend buying if ABH doesn't have a palette to your liking but suggest waiting for a discount and focusing on the metallic and glitter shades.

I honestly will have to admit that when I first heard about the Abh single shadows I was a little hesitant to purchase them. I quickly found out that the shadows are absolutely amazing. The pans are the perfect size and I love how I can throw all of them into a z palette and really get use out of them. The texture of the shadows when you swatch them is really nice , it’s not too chalky but creamy. On the eyes, the shadows preform really well. They don’t crease and they aren’t patchy. I really enjoy the quality of these eyeshadows because they are so easy to blend out and the pigmentation is really amazing. I have never really heard anyone say that these shadows are bad , maybe that there is a little bit of fall out. But that doesn’t really bother me because most eyeshadows have fall out / kick back. I highly recommend these single shadows , the quality is really something!

I picked up 4 eye shadows and will go through them individually. Burnt Orange Matte - ultra-matte deep orange Seriously such a great transition or crease color, flawlessly buttery and soft. Not a lot of fall out, but is pigmented with amazing bendability. Would recommend to everyone as an everyday shade or for warm Smokey eyes. Not crazy "orange", but a perfect deep warm color. Gem - satin peach This shade is truly satiny- it goes on silkily, no drag at all with wonderful payoff. The eye shadow is very soft, so expect some fallout, but the color is amazing for all over the lid, everyday shade. Very professional and even seems to "smooth" my eyes, baring natural elegance. Again, would recommend to everyone. Gleam - satin frosted chiffon Perfect inner corner shade, not patchy at all. Sort of a off white that doesn't look gray on the eyes, very cream like and light beige, but with a satin finish. Texture similar to Gem, but softer. Pink Champagne - titanium pinky beige shimmer Very sparkly, recommend a primer (I used Too Faced Glitter Glue Primer and worked great) to last. The shadow is harder and happily, not a lot of fallout. Depends on how it is applied to the lid; with a light hands and a few pats, it adds more dimension on top of another shadow for a everyday glimmer, but turns really metallic and flashy with some fix plus and really packed in. Overall: Greatly surprised by just how good the colors are for only 12$, will very surely be expanding my collection from this brand soon.

I did the 4 shadows for $40 deal at sephora since I was shopping for a pink eyeshadow palette but wanted to make sure I’d use all the colors. I love the colors in the modern renaissance but I already have most of them so I decided the best idea would be to make a palette of my own. BEST idea yet. This is my first time using the ABH shadows and it will definitely not be my last. These shadows are so creamy and vibrant, with virtually no fall out. It’s tough to find shimmer shades that are easy to blend, but these are amazing!! And as for the satin shades, they are so pigmented and creamy!! I love them all and will definitely repurchase!

Okay I won’t deny that at first I wasn’t crazy over trying it, especially because it seemed to me that the price was a little too high compared the the amount of product it brings; however, I can say it’s a great shadow! The colors are very well pigmented (some shades better than others), so 1-2 applications should be good enough. As you may imagine, because of the pigmentation, it goes a long way (unless you use it every single day). The texture is very nice: it’s in between powder and creamy... but it’s more powdery... I like saying that it’s like a moisturized powder.

I'm a big fan of single eyeshadows (I prefer them to eyeshadow palettes) and the ABH formula isn't my absolute favorite, but I do like them a lot. They're very pigmented, blendable, and cheaper than my holy grail singles (Urban Decay). One weird thing I noticed was that I accidentally bought two of the same color at one point (Dark Chocolate Shimmer) and although they had the same name, they looked like completely different colors. Other than that, I really like these shadows and would highly recommend giving them a try.

Review for: Enchanted (duo chrome royal purple), Iridescent Purple (purple w/blue reflect, duo chrome), Electro (bright purple w/lilac blue reflect, duo chrome finish), Gemstone (duo chrome violet orchid) more...
I love purple eyeshadow but have a difficult time finding a great predominantly purple palette. So I bought these four shades: Electro, Gemstone, Iridescent Purple and Enchanted. (And when you buy 4 single shadows they cost $10 each plus you get a little z type palette for them at no additional cost) I love these colors. The quality is wonderful. I use these colors in addition to my Naked 3 palette and they go great together.
I wouldn’t recommend going and buying a bunch of colors that you already have because what’s the point. But I would absolutely recommend ABH individual shadows to anyone looking for particular colors that will round out an otherwise complete collection. I would also recommend not buying them one at a time (unless you have a % off coupon) because the price is discounted when you buy in sets of 4. Urban Decay Naked3 Eyeshadow Palette

What I like about Anastasia Beverly Hills is that if you miss out on purchasing a limited edition palette, they USUALLY release the shadows as singles, so you can pick and choose the shades you'll actually wear so you don't end up with shades you'll never use. (I say usually because the Makeup By Mario Palette is the only one that doesn't have corresponding single shadows).

They have a variety of finishes for the single shadows, all of them super pigmented and high quality like the Anastasia Beverly Hills we all know and love.

If you're contemplating buying a palette but only like a few shades, I would recommend opting on buying the singles instead. You get a larger pan that'll last longer on shades you'll actually use.

Review for: Blanc (snowy ivory, ultra-matte finish) (online only), Gleam (frosted chiffon, satin finish), Metal (silver gold, titanium finish), Buon Fresco (antique lavender, ultra-matte finish), Warm Taupe (warm soft brown, ultra-matte finish), Birkin (warm beige mauve, ultra-matte finish), Stone more...
For the most part, I really enjoy ABH single eyeshadows for the price. I’ve tried several shades now and as a rule I prefer the mattes to the shimmers. The shimmers (Gleam, Metal, Chocolate Crumble) didn’t build up as well or look as pretty on the eye as I’d like. Of them, my favorite is probably peach-champagne Gleam. Metal has a cool platinum undertone which I like. Chocolate Crumble, a purple brown, is just okay. The mattes I have (Stone, Warm Taupe, Birkin, Buon Fresco, Blanc) are more consistent. Blanc is a pale vanilla color, Warm Taupe is what it sounds like, Buon Fresco is a warm mauve, Stone is a cool gray green taupe, and Birkin is a warm orange mauve brown. I get good use out of all of them. I’d buy more mattes but not more shimmers. They are good eyeshadows but I’ve definitely used better.

Loooovveee these shadows! I recently decided to put together my own Z palette and these are some of the best shadows! I thought they were a little pricey, but a little goes a long way and will last me a while. They are very pigmented, and blend so well. Very happy with my purchase. If you have a TJ Maxx near you, check out the makeup section I’ve often found these singles there.
