I have naturally brown hair that I often get professionally colored (often highlighted first, then painted over both the bleached bits and the natural bits for dimension). I’ve had so many shades of purple/pink/red/orange hair color over the past ~5 years and my last dye job was the first time I went without using this product and now that I’ve compared, I can definitely say it helps keep your expensive fashion colors lasting brighter for longer than without using anything. (I of course always use a color-safe/-protecting shampoo and conditioner too.) I didn’t try Fadeblock at the recommendation of my stylist or anything but when I let her know I’d been using it they explained that it could definitely help. Especially with red toned shades that are usually the quickest to fade - they explained that red pigments are some of the largest pigments, so they can be some of the hardest to keep in your hair. Of course the dye they use can also matter but I’ll definitely be picking up another tube of this next time I get my hair colored! I’d say on my usually clavicle-length shag, a tube lasts me about 7-9 uses if I really saturate all my hair, longer if I’m using in a more concentrated way. And I’d typically use it almost every shower - especially when my hair is freshly colored.
