What an amazing Organization I remember when I was 18 and up to Florida and I was in hurricane Andrew and they helped out an in Normas amount of things to them we have food we were able to eventually get shelter again and help and it was just overwhelming at bedtime to have hopit was a lot going on a very busy but I can say that Red Cross is amazing organization
Almost 6yrs ago me and my family lost everything in a house fire including our 6yr old daughter. The American Red Cross was there for us and helped us get back on our feet. When my uncles trailer caught fire 6 months ago and he lost everything they were the first call I made. I knew they could help I knew they'd be there. A great organization you can count on.
I have donated blood and received blood...and I am glad to know that there is an organization that aids in helping people get the blood they need. I was diagnosed with a hemolytic anemia and am not a great candidate to donate so I volunteer. The one thing that struck me was that 95% of the Red Cross is ran by volunteers! Also, it is mandated that the US have a Red Cross but it is not funded by the government. It is really important that we give to the Red Cross because when we donate, we save lives.
Work close by to an America Red Cross, this my co to location to go and get my CPR certification. A lot of people do not know that aside from relief work they also provide training and education to the community
I LOVE THE AMERICAN RED CROSS!! I am a proud supporter of this organization. They come in and did a workshop for our military children on disaster prepairdness and how to be ready. They made pillow cases that my children then took home and stuffed with clothes and keep at the end of their beds in the case of a disaster.
I think the organization as one could be a bit more caring. I woke for a loan company and we wanted to set up a blood drive and they said no. They said there probably wouldn't be enough participants. I just think that if you are all about helping that you should take blood wherever when ever you can. There can never be enough and I just think that if you were really in for the right reasons you would realize that and jump at any opportunity to collect what people all over the world need!
This organisations not only helps with major disasters but they help with everyday problems people face, from a power bill shut off notice to a hotel if needed or supplies to help people out in hard times. this is a very trusted organisation who would greatly benefit from not only money contributions but volunteers as well.
This is yet another amazing organization that helps out with the community. I volunteered with the Red Cross back when Hurricane Katrina happened. I was 13 at the time and I found $200 on the ground and decided to do a good deed and turn the money in to one of the directors. She took my information and said that if nobody reported losing the money, she would mail it to me. I never heard from her tho lol. I'm hoping someone claimed it or she donated it instead of her keeping it to her self.
What an amazing organization! My husband and I had a death in our family and We had just moved to a new duty station They helped arrange discount flights and other help getting us back home for my father in laws funeral . They don't understand how much we appreciate the help. It was beyond a blessing to have the Red Cross available our my family.
Have been dealing with Red Cross for years. As a Girl Scout leader, we are required to have someone certified in child/adult CO and First Aud. I have taken many trainings with them. I have also shopped on their site for a first aid kit and reusable CPR merchsndise. I think they are a great organization that has helped many people in crisis toi.
