I donate blood ever time I'm able to. I support the Red Cross as much as possible. You never know what can happen to you and one day you may need to have a transfusion, so it's always good to give before you need. I was in a wreck back in 09 and to survive I had to receive blood thanks to red cross I was able to receive it faster all because I had blood type card they give you when you donate. The doctors didn't have to wait for a blood test to come back before they gave me the blood. Now I make sure to always donate as way of saying thank you to the organization and it's donors

I went to give blood and when I first went in the ladies were very rude to me and while the nurse was supposed to be asking me my "personal questions" she answered her cell phone and started talking to someone! When she went to check my iron she must have twitched or something because I got a gash in my finger and it stayed bruised for a week. And I've always had pale skin and my veins stick out more then normal and it took three of them to determine whether I was fit to give blood. I had a bad experience and I will not be going back. I much rather prefer the blood connection

The first time I tried to donate blood I was in high school and they denied me because I didn't weigh enough. Now, in my senior year of college, I saw the Red Cross was coming and I was determined to try again! I signed up and go my surprise they let me donate! Everyone was so nice during the whole process, they really want to make you feel comfortable and important. After they finish taking your blood they provide you with juice and snacks. Then after it's over they send you emails thanking you for your donation and tell you about how many potential lives you have saved!

The American Red Cross partners with many businesses to encourage employees and consumers to give. I gave for years when I worked as a Beauty Advisor at Walgreens and when I see businesses with collection canisters on the counter, it warms my heart. I'm not afraid to drop pennies or some spare change in when I can. I try to remind consumers when I'm on the other side of the counter working, every penny counts.

I love donating blood through the American Red Cross! I am currently up to my 4th donation and have earned my half gallon badge! I love being able to donate and know that I'm helping save 3 lives with every donation. I will continue to keep on giving blood as long as a I can! 💉

The American Red Cross does awesome work around the World, not just on th ehome front. Their blood bank is wonderful. Donated blood goes where it is needed. Our family was in need many years ago ~ and was able to get all th eblood they needed after a tragic accident. I think my stepfather received about 105 units of blood. My Mom was able to call on friends to replace the blood in the American Red Cross that was charged against us. Over the years my mom also gave about 2 gallons of blood to the Red Cross. They are there for emergencies of all types. Kudos to them.

I use to work as a catastrophe claims adjuster for locations that suffered natural disasters and it was always humbling to see the people who had been displaced being so grateful to any help we could give and American Red Cross was always there to help supply bottles of water and whatever else they could give. My kudos go to the front line employees and volunteers who are out there helping those they can!

I try to donate blood as often as I can. During severe disasters where entire communities are affected it is important to be able to give blood. Not very many people understand the need of having blood supply stocked at hospitals for various diseases and or injuries. A pint or so can save a life.

The staff is always professional, clean, and very knowledgeable.

Please donate to your local American Red Cross.

I've been a blood donor since I was a teenager thanks to the American Red Cross. This is an organization with a very broad reach of impact, as far as how they help people and communities and what they assist with. They are a vital organization that steps up during national disasters and they need your donations of time or funds to keep doing what they do. They are awesome. ❤

I have heard and seen how this program works.
This is the best thing that could even happen around the world.
It is great to know someone is out there thinking and doing the things for us.
Someday something could happen to us and you panic and don't know where to start or go when everything falls down on you.
They have great connections and go the extra mile to help and support when people need it most.
I hope this will keep going strong and open in as many places as possible.
I think if you wanted to volunteer this would be good place to start.
