Last year I participated in fundraising and walking with DMC Sinai Grace Hospital with my beautiful mother pictures to fundraise for the cause and we were one of the highest fundraising teams. It was a wonderful day of community, games, laughter, remembrance and education on prevention and treatment. The event was well put together and organized and easy to navigate with parking and finding the starting line. The entire fundraising process was transparent and well put together donors of all tiers were recognized and received well. I will definitely continue my relationship with this organization and encourage others to do so. I was very proud of surpassing my goal of $500 reaching almost 1K

In 2008 my father lost his battle to cancer. I was 20 years old, mine and my families life had just flipped upside down and nothing made sense. I remember how thankful we were for the American Cancer Society, they offer so many resources and guidance. They truly helped navigate us though a rough time. They suggested programs that were available to my father, travel and lodging. They made it possible and affordable for my mom to be near my dad when he was at hospitals and doctors for treatments. I can’t put it all in to words how thankful I am for this group of kind and caring people.

Because i had cancer myself, i would choose this charity only than the European version, but I couldn't choose that. Charities are very important, and when I can, I will support them.
