Love flying with them. Haven't had any problems so far. The service is good and the staff are friendly and not rude unlike on some other flights that I have been on. Mostly use them to travel :) would recommend
It’s a decent Airline. I haven’t had a terrible experience, but they do overbook flights. They do provide entertainment on the flight like a movie or live TV. It’s one of my top three go to airlines.
Flew American Airlines for the first time last year and was happy with the service and flight, especially since it was out of the county also. I did like that they knew carry on a would not fit on the specific plane and they did not charge for it to be put under the plane.
I've had different experiences with AA. One plane ride, I'm perfectly content, and the next will be unprofessional. I was on my way back home to Cali, and the flight was supposed to leave at 6:45am but we didn't take off till 7:45am, and I almost missed my flight. They kept telling me I would make it, and be fine. I hate flying by myself, so I was already a nervous reck. They only thing they could do for me, was to tell others to stay in their seat while people with connecting flights within the next few mins would get up and head to their gate. That has only happened once, but the flight attendance were very nice, always up asking if we needed anything.
I have flown with this conpanu many time and they always impress . The flight attenedants are extremely nice and sometime playful . I really like how they make sure everyone is satisfyed on the trip.
Very expensive. Not great accommodations for over seas flights. Traveled one way and then back with their partner Lufthansa and Lufthansa is a much nicer airline. If I fly nationally I fly southwest
We flew American Airlines to New York recently. From the reservation to landing the experience was first class. I will defiantly use them in the future for my travel needs. They have great customer service and the flight crew is top notch. Thanks!
I often fly to South America, and it is very frustrating because AA is the cheapest airline that flies there (which is still expensive). The flight is around 9 hours and the planes they use for these flights really are pretty miserable. The seats are uncomfortable and the planes look very old. There is really no in-flight entertainment besides giant TV screens every few rows that play weird Disney Trivia. Sometimes if you are buying from a site like CheapOair, you can buy an AA flight "operated by" one of their partner airlines. If that is possible, do it!! To South America, they partner with LAN and the LAN flights are wonderful. Much more modern planes, comfortable seats, and every seat has its own touch screen TV with tons of great movies, TV shows, games, music, and a map. AA is fine for short flights, but I don't recommend it for very long flights.
I fly American international and it is usually a good experience. I went to Italy last month and my flight was delayed 4 hours and the staff was not super helpful when travelers missed their layovers
American Airlines is decent. Not my go to airline but I mean, really, usually people will choose an airline for its cheap prices. Friendly staff aboard but the plane just feels old and not as modern.
