They fly into and out of Chattanooga which is a very small airport. You can receive decent fares although you do have to pay for checked bags. You get to select your seat ahead of time and do not have to worry about remembering to check in.
American Airlines is perfect for the average, everyday traveler! You can usually find bargains, sales and special offers. They offer a superior frequent flyer mileage program. Their aircraft are typically kept clean and service is friendly.
I like American; it isn’t my favorite airline. Short bouncy ride to Orlando. They didn’t do anything wrong, but the customer service wasn’t anything to write home about either
Flying American Airlines is fine. It’s convenient for us . Customer service was fine. We’ve flown a couple times with them. The experience was done; no complaints. I’d recommend to others. Just check the fine print before you book anything!
On my previous flights with American Airlines, I have found that the staff is friendly, courteous and very helpful. Prices seem to be at an average and availability of flights seem to be accessible. I will be flying again at the end of July.
While preparing to fly home after not seeing my family for over 6 months, we booked a flight several hundred more expensive to get me home sooner. Flying across the country is not cheap already, but it was worth it. I even had my significant other pay an extra hundred to be on the same connecting flight as me. However, after a plane malfunction, we had to deplane, and I ended up extremely frustrated and delayed several hours. All that money down the drain and several hours lost. Then when I FINALLY got in to CA, they had left my baggage all the way across the country, and when it came time to deliver it to my house, it took them a good 2 days to do it. I attributed this to a fluke, however on the return flight, not only was I delayed, but I ended up having to deplane and stay at the airport for 11 hours until the next available flight. After contacting customer service and reaching out to them on Twitter, they offered me a $200 voucher to use FOR AMERICAN AIRLINES. I asked what else they could do for me and I never got a reply back. EXTREMELY unsatisfied. I wouldn't fly with them again. I would give them 0 stars if I could.
I had flight from chicago to atlanta and a connecting flight from atlanta to alabama. We miss our 2nd leg of our flight because our first flight was delayed. The staff was pretty nice and they help me get a rental so I could drive to Alabama
For the most part we enjoy flying American Airlines. We have experienced delays and connectivity issues, such as broken wifi, but they always compensate us for our troubles - generally in the form of vouchers to use again on their airlines.
Their website is ok. Nothing memorable and I only use it due to this is the only airline that flies out of my hometown. All tickets seem over priced compared to when I have flown other airlines. And I hate that they charge for a carry on bag.
I think American Airlines does a great job at offering the best service. Every flight I've taken with them as been smooth and hassle free. My only complaint is for how much it costs to fly with them, I think something should be added to the service. Very pricey!
