The Eclipse Allira Velvet Room Darkening Grommet Noise Reduction Curtains look amazing there's no denying that. The velvet has a luxe, soft feel and adds a touch of drama to the room in the best way. They hang nicely, and the grommets make them super easy to install, so I give them an A+ for style. That being said, they don’t block out as much light as I expected from something labeled “room darkening.” It’s more of a strong dimming effect and pretty far from a full blackout. They also cut down a little bit on outside noise but I wouldn't say it’s a night-and-day difference. Overall, these curtains are beautiful and definitely upgrade the space, but if you're buying them mainly for blackout reasons or serious noise reduction, then you may want to look for something else.

These are definitely black out curtains which is exactly what I wanted they are too small for my window but they still work and their quality is amazing and velvety! They were very easy to put up I recommend!

I am not quite sure if I like the grommet curtains better than the traditional ones the rod goes through but they are so much easier to hang. The fabric is good quality and they really are room darkening. I would probably buy blackout after trying these as I work night shift but I love how much light is filtered out and it really is noise reducing. The rest of my house gets so much road noise and I hear my neighbors mowing and then my bedroom is my oasis when I work. I’m very hesitant to wash them as they have that velvet texture and I’m afraid it would hold onto any particles or fuzz and may not improve the wrinkles. I’d like to steam the wrinkles out and it would be perfect. Like an almost matte, true white. I used this on a 4x5 window to get the best room darkening effect and they look nice and full.
