I really enjoy these Allen Edmonds Alpha Suede Slip-on sneakers. I was worried about comfort but these are really comfortable and have a removable shock-absorbing insole. They're very well made and look nice with just about everything. The Suede looks great and the leather is a perfect accent.

In choosing the pair of Alpha Suede slip ons that I would wear, I had to go with the most neutral color available. The other colors offered were quite gaudy IMO. Regardless, the size selection tool provided on the website was a tremendous plus and dead accurate. I was able to list shoes that I currently own and fit the way I prefer to assist Allen Edmonds with supplying me with their comparative fit. When the shoes arrived, I was pleasantly surprised of the quality, look feel and fit of the shoes (they even bagged the shoes separately in the box, how suede should be done). I attempted to wear them around the house a while to break them in before venturing out a full day. I tried wearing thin dress socks during the break in period but found the shoes very tight-fitting adjacent the ball of my foot...very odd feeling for me with a skinny foot. That ties back to the proper fit utilizing the size selection tool. I finally wore the shoes out without socks and they fit great. I had zero discomfort and they performed lovely. I hope the soles soften up a little bit to allow more flex and less "clop" when walking. Overall, after a few ventures of wear, I am extremely satisfied with the shoes and would purchase another pair (perhaps the woven pair or the Venetian leather loafer); however, I would not pay the $250 plus price tag for these shoes. I would price these shoes in the $150 range at best.

These Alpha Suede shoes are phenomenal! I would highly recommend them if you're looking for an elevated casual shoe. these could be worn with business casual or casual clothes out. I found them to be comfortable for long term wear, but might recommend going up a half size if you plan on wearing regular socks (I switched to no show the second time I worn them and that totally changed the feel. the suede has held up so far (worn a few times) so we'll see if that continues.
