I love the Algenist Blue Vitamin C Peeling! It gives my skin a brightening boost and leaves it feeling incredibly fresh and smooth. The gel texture is easy to apply, and I appreciate that it gently exfoliates without being harsh. However, I need to wait longer to see if it can correct the dark spots left by acne.

I haven’t used this product consistently yet, but it’s been amazing so far. I was looking for something to counter the dark spots I have from sun damage as well as a non-abrasive but effective peel that I could incorporate into my regular skincare routine. My skin has never been super sensitive to products, but has been becoming slightly more sensitive with age, so this was an important point for me. I also don’t regularly use any retinoids, acids, or peels but am trying to get into them more. The first time I used this, I spot-tested it on my cheek and washed it off after 3 min. It leaves a tingling sensation, but it did not burn or make my skin red/react at all. The second time, I applied it all over my face but only left it on for 5 minutes (recommended time is 20 min). Even after just 5 min, my skin felt refreshed and looked smoother and brighter. My boyfriend asked if I did something to my skin and said I was glowing. After that, I’ve used the peel several times for the full 20 min, and have had no problems so far. Every time, my skin looked noticeably smoother, brighter, refreshed, and more even-toned (I usually don’t notice any effects or differences from most skincare products, so this is huge!!). I haven’t been able to use it as much as I want to because I’ve been busy with work, traveling, and going through fraxel treatments, but this is definitely a product I’m excited to go back to and would 100% repurchase/recommend to others!
