I keep the AleveX lotion it available in the house as it comes in handy when I have muscle tightness. I like that the roll on functionality makes it easier to apply to the desired area without having the lotion on your hands and fingers. The lotion itself is a bit strong in scent (menthol and camphor) so it might not be to everybody’s liking. So far I’ve found it effective is helping me loosen up tight and sore muscles.

I’ve been using a pr roll on opical pain gel for years. This one contains 5% methanol and provides immediate cooling relief. I had high hopes for this product, especially considering its higher cost. With 14% menthol, I anticipated a more intense sensation. However, the 14% menthol claim seems exaggerated. The menthol content felt closer to 1%. Nevertheless, once it had time to absorb, it did alleviate the pain. It contains the same botanicals as the other brand and some camphor. The scent is mild. I find it effective for my painful feet, but its effectiveness diminishes for other areas. Overall, it’s worth trying, but if you’re expecting a strong cooling sensation, it may not meet your expectations.
