I always keep a pack of these in my pantry for breakfasts on-the-go because of the high protein content. I've tried many protein shakes, including the other Alani protein shakes, but this probably has one of the best flavors out there. I don't know how to describe it other than a protein caramel flavor. I will say you can still tell its a protein product, but the flavor is still decent and the price is very competitive with a four-count that is much cheaper than others on the market.

The flavor is very sweet—almost like a dessert milkshake—which might appeal to some, but I found it a bit too sugary for regular use. The shake mixes well and has a smooth texture, which is nice, and it does provide a solid protein boost. That said, I don’t see what all the hype is about; it didn’t feel particularly unique or memorable compared to other protein shakes I’ve tried. Good for a treat, but probably not something I’d drink everyday.

The discontinued 20g of protein version is the only option to choose for under which to review so I’d like to clarify this is the 30 grams of protein Munchies protein shake by Alani. THIS IS THE GREATEST PROTEIN SHAKE TO EVER EXIST! It is honestly not just the best protein shake it may be one of the best most delicious things I’ve ever drank in my life PERIOD! It is absolutely decadent yummy and tastes like a chocolate chip cookie, caramel, pretzel milkshake! The only thing I found odd about this product was how hard it was to find out what “munchies” flavor entailed…There are some chocolate chip cookie and pretzel images on the bottle but they don’t say anywhere in words what flavors to expect and no indication of caramel which was the best part! I could not rave any harder about this product it is the most delicious things I’ve ever drank in my life not limited to healthy things.
