I switched my cat to Acana when he was 4 after being on bet recommended Hills/ Royal canin for years. While those were popular, i did some research and personally didnt like how high in carbs and processed the ingredients were; no wonder my cat was putting on weight so quickly. After the switch, not only did he much prefer this brand’s taste, but we got him back to a healthy weight rather quickly. The ingredients are whole, fresh ingredients- supplemented with raw. Acana is the the closest “kibble” to a raw diet, or a homemade diet but with the convenience of kibble. I still feed a mix of wet and dry- but now acana has come out with a line of wet which my cat loves and i love for him. Hes now a healthy 8 year old with the mobility and energy of a kitten. His skin and coat is one of the softest ive come across in a cat and Acana will continue to be a staple in his diet.
