6 reviewsEasy installation, supports very fast wifi reception, but at long distances, wifi reception is very weak, not very good. The security gate is very safe, has a password and is professional. My house has used it for many years and is still in good condition. Overall, it's okay with this wifi device.
Got this from Charter Communications when they first installed our internet. Not very happy with it. The range is more than enough for our house with the wifi, so that was fine. Almost once a week it would overheat and crash (never had this happen with any previous routers). Also only 1 of the ethernet cord slots on the back of it worked so now 3 computers share the same ethernet cord line (we bought a 1 to 3 adaptor). Also it reset all of our settings after a month of using it and when we called Netgear asking why or how they couldn't help us at all. I do not recommend this router to anyone.
This little router has exceeded my expectations 10 fold. I will admit that I ditched the factory firmware rather quickly and began using DD-WRT within the day of un-boxing. It's a very capable and stable router while running DD-WRT and may have been just as stable on the stock firmware.
