Works great. I had my guinea pigs for 8 years and this is all that we used for them. It was great because my dad was allergic to wood bedding so this was perfect alternative.

Carefresh is the best bedding, but I highly recommend the natural brown or white colors. The ones such as this purple one have extra additives and are processed differently. I had a guinea pig that lost his hair because he was allergic to the colors, but he was perfectly fine on the natural color. Also be careful if you notice your animal eating this bedding it can cause impaction so you may need to switch to an alternative such as fleece. 3 stars for the brand name and bad additives for the color, I'd rate it 5 if it were the natural Carefresh.

Best bedding on the market. Wood shavings are too harsh on small animals respiratory systems. It is so easy to clean and easy on the wallet

When I had my guinea pig, I was a loyal customer to Carefresh! This bedding is definitely absorbent and it masks all odors! Super easy to clean out of the cages too.
