Each tin (relative to the general size of an Altoids tin) has an old-world charm. Now, these are not hinged lids, so carefully open each tin to prevent the little pastilles from getting away.
Each has a sugary taste with an extremely subtle hint of violet. For me, the violet is just too gentle. But this is also because I grew up on Chowards Violet candies and gum. Now, those have a massive burst of violet ... those are five stars of floral goodness.
These are the equivalent of hard candies; therefore, allow them to dissolve in your mouth slowly. It actually reads, "Do not bite" on the outside of the tin ... so try not to. (But I always do!)
Keep these in your handbag or messenger bag. Not only are they a great conversation piece (and once you show them off, you'll begin seeing them everywhere in your office) but they are truly tasty.
